Workout Videos: How to do a Tire Flip

Want to build leg strength the non-conventional way? Give tire flips a try. The Tire Flip exercise is a unique movement that can help improve your lower body explosiveness. This fun exercise will confuse your lower leg muscle group throughout the foreign, non-traditional range of motion.  If you do not already utilize this in your current strength and conditioning plan, then adding tire flips can bring your workout to the next level. Learn how to do with tire flip with appropriate form in this workout video.

  1. Put your hands directly under the tire.
  2. Keep your back straight and your head up.
  3. Come up and flip the tire with your full explosiveness.
  4. Continue until exhaustion, or you reach the end of the room.

The best athletes are those who work hard on and off the field, however, hard work without a thoughtful training plan or program in place can set you up for injury or burnout. Before you tackle monster tires, make sure you and your coach are on the same page when it comes to your training priorities and strategy.
