Coach Spotlight Series: Andre Speech on CoachUp Premium

Coach Spotlight Series: Andre Speech on the CoachUp Premium Membership

We’ve got some new updates for you in this latest edition of the Coach Spotlight Series. This week’s Spotlight features basketball coach Andre Speech. Andre was one of the first CoachUp coaches to upgrade to the CoachUp Premium Membership. It’s been more than a week since we released CoachUp Premium, so we wanted to get Andre’s feedback on how some of the new changes will affect his coaching business.

We went over a few of the new features, Andre’s ability to run camps now, and whether he thinks he’ll continue with CoachUp Premium once his free trial is over. If you’re interested in upgrading to a CoachUp Premium membership, you can do so from the account tab of your CoachUp account. You’ll get the first 30 days free to try everything out, so we definitely recommend upgrading!

OK, now let’s talk to Andre.

CoachUp: Hey, Andre. So have you had a chance to start checking out the CoachUp Premium features yet? What are the top 3 things that stand out to you in particular about the new changes?

Andre Speech: I have definitely checked out the new Premium features, and they are great. The things that stand out the most to me are the fast payment processing times, the ability to schedule large groups/camps/clinics, and the new video training feature. The new options are great, and I’m already using and benefitting from them all.

CU: Do you have any questions or thoughts on the Premium fee structure? We tried to make it less confusing than our Basic Membership fee structure, so I’m curious for your thoughts.

AS: I have no questions as it is pretty straight forward. My first thought when I see anything that has to do with fees is that I’m going to have to pay more money. But I can see the value in the fees and they are well within reason for what we, the coaches, are getting in return.

CU: In the Premium Membership, you’ll be able to speak with potential clients over the phone before they book sessions with you. How important is this ability to you?

AS: That is great! The communication between client/coach is important. Clients have questions and concerns when booking. Having the ability to speak to them before they book sessions gives clients the peace of mind that I’m the right coach for them.

CU: Do you currently run any camps or clinics outside of CoachUp? Now that you have access to CoachUp Premium, would you consider running your camps or clinics through CoachUp?

AS: I definitely run camps and clinics. I have scheduled my camp that is coming up on October 23rd on CoachUp using the Premium feature. This gives me a simplified and streamlined way to get my clinic/camp attendees registered in one place. Plus my clinic/camp schedule can be seen in one place for all my clients.

CU: I see you also offer an online training package now. Did you know that you’ll now appear in the search results for basketball players searching for online training? You could potentially work with an athlete across the country now. Can you tell us a little about what your online training package consists of?

AS: My online package will consist of 1-on-1 coaching. Plus drills will be provided, along with questions and answers. I think it is awesome that I can reach athletes from all across the country. I like having the ability to teach and reach players that I haven’t had the option to previously. Nice touch, CoachUp!

CU: You’re currently enrolled in the free trial for Premium. Will you continue with your subscription once your free trial has ended?

AS: The more I use the Premium features on CoachUp each day, the more excited I get about it. I was hesitant to enroll once the free trial ends, but that hesitation is gone. I’m all in. Keep up the good work and keep the innovations coming.
