Why did you decide to become a private coach?
I became a private coach because I coach on the high school level, and I see what is not being taught by the time a player reaches me. It makes it easier for a player to get one on one instruction and have a coach tailor to their specific needs.

What do you enjoy most about coaching?
I enjoy the success stories not of just those who score big numbers or get the scholarships but the ones who say you boosted my confidence or you changed my life.

What can a client expect from private lessons with you?
A client can expect a tailor made workout based on their abilities and what they need improvement on. Also they can expect to be motivated by a coach who will push you to get better but also make sure you have fun.

What is your coaching style or philosophy?
My philosophy is that fundamentals are a requirement. Discipline and hard work can make an average player great. Mental discipline is the key to get through basketball and life when you face obstacles.

What is your favorite moment in your athletic career?
Winning a Women’s Pro Tackle Football National Championship the one and only year I played.

Do you have any success stories from coaching an athlete?
Ye,s I have coached Paris Kea the past two years. This summer I trained her for the USA 18U National team. Hopefully she will come home with a gold medal. I have coached numerous other young people who earned college scholarships.

Teamwork makes the dream work!

Do you have any special talents or a surprising thing someone might not know about you?
I love photography.

Who is your favorite coach and why?
Richard Smith because he wasn’t afraid to be vocal. He made our team disciplined in every aspect of the game and life. He always showed us he cared, and he always made us enjoy basketball even though we worked hard. Lastly he recognized the coach in me in high school and began nurturing my coaching mind even then.
