The Rope Cross

The Rope Cross

Transcription: “This might be a little low, I actually haven’t practiced this all that much so. This obstacle here is what they call in the tough mudder world ‘the dong dangler’ and it’s more commonly known as a tyrolean traverse. And there are a couple techniques to doing this. There’s the faster approach, which is getting below the rope and using hands and feet. And a more technical approach which is where you’re gonna get on top of the rope.

Below the rope you wanna hook your ankles only and you’re gonna move one limb at a time. So you’re one leg will be a counter weight, this is the most efficient way, in my case my left leg is the counter weight and it’s gonna keep you from flipping over you’ll use your other leg as a propulsion. Push off and you’re gonna pull with your hands.”
