How To Do A Goalkeeper Throw | CoachUp Soccer Goalkeeper Tips

Vasili Uspensky: Hi, I’m Vasili Uspensky, former VCU goalkeeper and CoachUp coach. And this is the goalie t hrow. Sorry. This is Patrick. Patrick is fighting for a spot on his varsity squad and today, we’re gonna work on the goalie throw. The throw is the goalie’s most effective mid-range pass. The throw is a windmill motion. You wanna start with the ball down at your legs, with your palm facing the open field. You wanna step through and windmill, to capture max momentum. Windmill the ball, releasing only at its highest point. The ball should snap off your fingers, like a jump shot. That sound is the sound of the ball, just whipping right off your fingertips
