More About Coach Colin
I have been coaching and training athletes — primarily QBs, WRs, and DBs — for 13 years, with a deep focus on youth and high school quarterbacks and wide receivers for the past decade. My approach combines technical precision, football systems knowledge, leadership development, and mental toughness to help athletes reach their full potential.
Recent Experience
Most recently, I served as Quarterback Coach at Royal High School in Simi Valley, California (2026 off-season).
In 2025, I coached wide receivers and served as Junior Varsity Offensive Coordinator at La Salle College Preparatory (St. John the Baptist De La Salle) in Pasadena, California (Head Coach Mark Serve).
From August 2024 to March 2026, I worked as Physical Education Teacher and Athletic Director at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Elementary School in Simi Valley. In this leadership role, I fully managed the athletic program — coaching, scheduling, budgeting, regulatory compliance, facility preparation (marking fields and setting up spaces), and organizing school-wide events, banquets, and fundraisers.
Additional High School & College Experience
2023: Wide Receivers Coach and Passing Coordinator at William Howard Taft Charter High School in Woodland Hills, California (Head Coach Fred Emmerson), and Wide Receivers Coach at Los Angeles Pierce College (Head Coach James Sims).
2020–2021: Quarterbacks & Wide Receivers Coach and Junior Varsity Offensive Coordinator at Watkins Memorial High School in Pataskala, Ohio.
2017–2018: Wide Receivers Coach and Junior Varsity Head Coach at Madison-Plains High School.
2016: Wide Receivers Coach at Bexley High School, where the team achieved an outstanding 11-1 record, an unbeaten regular season, and our first playoff victory.
2014–2015: Freshman Wide Receivers & Defensive Backs Coach at Saint Charles Preparatory School, my alma mater in Columbus, Ohio.
Earlier roles include intern coaching at Grove City Christian (2012) and work with Columbus Recreation and Parks.
This extensive background across multiple programs, plus athletic administration and PE teaching experience, allows me to deliver highly structured, safe, and effective private and group training that translates directly to on-field success.
Certifications
OHSAA State-Certified Coach with PAP licensure, Accredited Interscholastic Coach, CPR & First Aid, CYO Certified (California), Protecting God’s Children, NFHS Heat Illness Prevention, and NFHS Sportsmanship.
Education: Proud graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Kinesiology, specializing in physical activity and coaching. This rigorous academic background in biomechanics, sports science, and athlete development directly informs the structured, evidence-based training I provide.
Personal Playing Career: During my high school years at Saint Charles Preparatory School in Columbus, Ohio, I had the honor of playing quarterback for two years on the football team. It was a challenging yet invaluable experience that taught me resilience, leadership under pressure, and a deep understanding of the quarterback position from the inside. I also competed in Track & Field from my sophomore through senior year (2006–2009), earning three-year letterman status. One of my proudest achievements was breaking the indoor school record in the 60-meter dash — a milestone that reinforced my passion for speed, explosiveness, and athletic performance.
Program Success as Coach: Helped lead teams to strong records, including Bexley High School’s historic 11-1 playoff season in 2016, multiple playoff appearances, and consistent individual player growth across programs.
