More About Coach Danielle
I love the sport of track and field! I am a USA Track and Field certified L1 Coach and have been a member with USATF for fourteen years. I began my coaching career at Kalamazoo Central High School as an Assistant Coach for both boys and girls track in sprints, hurdles, middle distance and relays from 2006-2010. Coaching boys and girls can be very different and require different motivation. I have learned that building a relationship with your athlete produces the best results! During this time I was also presented with the opportunity to personal train adults and elderly; focusing on balance, agility, and developing a physical fitness routine. My clients saw immediate results in their execution of their day to day activities.
Shortly after relocating to Central Florida I became affiliated with Speed Plus Sports. I began working with this organization in 2011 providing basic conditioning for athletes four years of age up to collegiate athletes, and continue to work with them today. The athletes that we service at Speed Plus Sports come from all different sports backgrounds including baseball, softball, gymnastics, football, etc. We work with our athletes on weight training, speed, physical education and knowing your body, teamwork and more.
From 2015-2016 I was recruited to create and establish a competitive track and field team at Downey Christian School. As assistant athletic director, Head Coach for JV and Varsity Volleyball and JV and Varsity Track and Field, both boys and girls, we received much recognition and success. Establishing a reputable names allows me as a coach to be connected with the best resources in our community. I had the privilege of coaching one of the fastest middle school girls 800 runners in the city in just one short season of competing.

In 2005 I attended Western Michigan University with a full scholarship as a collegiate athlete. As a hurdler I reached many of my goals. In the 400 meter low hurdles I became a three time conference champion (2007-2009), two time regional runner up (2008-2009), and Division 1 All-American (2008). I became the first outdoor All-American at my university in over 10 years and became the new record holder in the event, which still stands today! My hard work and discipline qualified me for the 2008 USA Olympic Trials. As a result of my performance throughout my career I was invited to join the USA Track and Field 2008 NACAC Team. I competed in the 400 meter hurdles and the 4x400 relay, placing in both events. At WMU in 2008 our 4x400 meter relay that I competed in holds not only the school record but the Mid-American Conference record that is also yet standing!
I competed in the majority of events offered at the collegiate level. These events include but are not limited to, the pentathlon and heptathlon, 800 meter run, and a variety of relays from the 4x100- 4x3200 meter relay. Success on the track was just as important as success off the track. Chosen by college coach in 2008-2009, I joined our Student Board of Athletics and served my team proudly for two years. I also obtained the honor and privilege of serving as team captain during that time! After graduating I received a Nike sponsorship with Elite Athletes International to continue my training and I finished my competitive career in 2012. My time now is dedicated to helping others by sharing my knowledge and experience!
I like to access the goals and abilities of who I will be working with. Aerobic and Anaerobic workouts formulate my workouts. Proper running mechanics, flexibility, and coordination, muscle memory and event training techniques are just a few things that will be addressed during this time. The core portion of the workout will be dedicated on focus areas such as speed, endurance, strength.
The execution of this session plan is standard for 1 on 1 or group sessions. The best part is that the workout will be catered just for you! Event training is offered and available upon request and will be worked into the program. I consider three things to be important when working with a client, discipline, consistency and variety.

Coach Danielle was amazing! She was welcoming and easy to talk to about my daughter’s goals and provided value-added feedback on my daughter’s upcoming weightlifting championships. Looking forward to connecting in the near future.

Coach Danielle is really a "personalized and invested coach," my 18 yr old daughter said. After just one lesson focusing on drills, technique, and starting out of the blocks, my daughter got an immediate roster opportunity on her team for the 100m, the very next week! We never mentioned that my daughter would be receiving extra help while in Orlando (we are from SC), but her coaches noticed a dramatic improvement and effort along with helpful knowledge that she had received from Coach Danielle. In addition, my daughter was able to help and discuss the best use of the blocks with other teammates! We are so grateful for the experience of working with a "college hall of fame" coach and the videos she provided us with as a reusable reference! Coach Danielle is both 'intellectual and hands on' which makes for a perfect complement, along with meeting each athlete at their own specific level all while tapping into their own unique understanding! She also provides teaching preference options and then asks questions to engage the learning process which is a worthwhile the investment with immediate feedback.

Coach Danielle was really great. She took the time to learn about our son and his goals. They started off slow but by the end of the first session there was a noticeable improvement in his form and technique. She's a very clear communicator and paid close attention to our son throughout his session. Highly recommended.

Very engaging and hands-on teacher! Coach Danielle is highly experienced, practical and detailed with a sharp eye of knowledge of the movements and physics of track & field. Coach has a great pulse on the needs of the athlete for where they are currently at and is able to optimize a workout based on the goals and ability of the athlete. Coach Danielle comes highly recommended and is going to be a force of a coach in the sport!

Coach Danielle is AMAZING! This lady is spot on, very professional, full of energy, passion and extremely knowledgeable about track and field.
Caring for any child will try one’s patience! But navigating life parenting a child with different needs requires extraordinary energy, patience, faith, trust, resources, and relationships.
A uniquely abled child will undoubtedly test your patience, whether it’s with said child, the medical system or with people who don’t understand.
The adage of "it's never too late" has some truth in it. At twenty-two, Mimi is entering the world of sports, late. But as she prepares to take part in the 2022 Special Olympic Games (with support from Coach Danielle) she is beaming with pride. She is finally experiencing the joy of competition through sports, the feeling of having a purpose and the realization that her disability does not have to define her. From ADHD to mild CP to visual impairment, (to name a few), we carry our share of "labels"; however, none of those "labels" deterred Coach Danielle from meeting with us and at least trying.
Mimi’s coordination and her mid-line cross issues have always been a challenge. Coach Danielle saw that as an area in need of strengthening, at once. She showed Mimi some crossing the midline exercises and core activities to practice. After one session and home training we are already noticing improvement! Mimi’s level of motivation has skyrocketed!
Coach Danielle, thank you for being so patient. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
Simply grateful,
Mimi’s mom!!

First session but everything was great

Coach Danielle was phenomenal! I reached out based off of a friends recommendation prior to arriving from Germany. We are not in the Orlando area but my friend insisted that we make the drive so my daughter could have a session w/ Coach D. My friend was spot on! Coach D is very serious about what she does. You could tell after a couple of minutes Coach D truly wants all her athletes to reach their full potential and she is going make you work because it will pay off. If you are within driving distance of Orlando or you have family and friends in this area looking to get better at all the things -- then get at Coach Danielle with the quickness!

Coach Danielle is amazing! She has been able to quickly identify several areas for improvement in my son's technique. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is great to work with! Thank you!
Michelle (CoachUp client)
Danielle is very professional, observant and encouraging. After only one session she was able to identify a few points of concern in our daughter’s shot put technique, gave corrections that already yielded more inches on the field when applied. Looking forward to future sessions.

Coach Danielle was great! She helped me improve my starts and work on my technique. She helped me out of some bad habits. I saw improvements immediately. Thanks Coach Danielle!
Tamara D. (Testimonial)
My daughter loves both gymnastics and track but I wasn't sure which one to have her focus on. Coach Danielle suggested my daughter try hurdles and my daughter became the fastest hurdler and even won the Disney Meet in her age group.
Diana S. (Testimonial)
My son loves track but he wasn't improving much. We enrolled him in Speed Plus Sports and she immediately saw that he was competing in the wrong events just by looking at him. She moved him from the 400 meter dash to the 800 meter run and each time he competed he improved and even began winning races.
Speed Plus Sports (Testimonial)
I have worked with Danielle for a little over five years now and her impact on our coaching staff has helped our organization grow.
Jon and Bethany M. (Testimonial)
Danielle is a great coach and very attentive to the needs of my daughter and son. My children have improved in track and they have more confidence at school.
Valencia Baymon (Testimonial)
My goal wasn't to lose weight but tone my body and work on focus areas. Not only have I toned but I have learned a lot in the process.
