More About Coach Xavion
I have experience coaching athletes at various levels, from K-12 in California to varsity-level teams. I also trained athletes professionally through one-on-one sessions and worked as a coach at Golden West College. I have worked with a wide range of age groups, from youth athletes to collegiate and professional players, focusing on skill development, mobility, and position-specific techniques. While I do not currently hold industry certifications, my hands-on experience and background as a high-level athlete allow me to provide effective training tailored to each athlete’s needs.
I was a standout multi-sport athlete, earning over five All-Tournament selections in basketball and football during my youth. At the collegiate level, I won a Mountain West Championship in Division I football and was a two-time All-American at the junior college level. My experience competing at both JUCO and D1 levels has given me valuable insight into elite-level performance and training.
In a typical training session, I focus on holistic athlete development, emphasizing both physical skills and mental acuity. Sessions begin with a dynamic warm-up to enhance flexibility and prevent injuries. I incorporate sport-specific drills that target technical proficiency, such as ball-handling for basketball or sprint mechanics for track athletes. I also integrate decision-making exercises to improve game intelligence. Strength and conditioning components are tailored to the athlete’s age and skill level, ensuring optimal performance. Each session concludes with a cool-down and a reflective discussion to reinforce learning objectives and address any concerns.
