More About Coach Travis
I have been coaching high school track and field athletes for five years now. During this time, I have coached football and basketball athletes to help them with their speed, conditioning, and flexibility. My expertise as a track is in sprints and hurdles. Most recently, the Boys of Henley High took 2nd as a team in the 4A Oregon State meet. The boys took 1st in 4A state 4x400m, 6th in the 300 Hurdles, 7th in the 400m, and 8th in the 200m. I am the assistant head coach for sprints and head coach for the hurdles. I have coached eight athletes in the Oregon 4A state track meet, and seven were in the top 8 in the state. During my time coaching basketball athletes, I've helped their team plan for the 4A state final basketball tournament. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the season was canceled the day before the playoffs. I am best at taking any athlete and making them faster, strong, and better after working with me, no matter where they are when they first start training.

The first session is an assessment that will gauge the speed/agility of the athlete, along with their conditioning, flexibility, and hip mobility. I will collect data on the athlete's ability to complete the workout. After the season, I will meet with my client and parent to assess the positive action results and the adverse actions that the athlete demonstrates during the workout.
Depending on what event or sport the athlete is training for will determine the training program that best fits the athlete's needs. Along with helping to fix their weakness, we will improve over time.
Once the training program is made, the season will focus on building on top of positive running habits while decreasing negative running patterns. The athlete will learn how to run with their natural stride, balance, apply pressure to the ground, and correct sprinting and hurdling mechanics.

I learned more from Coach Travis in three sessions than I learned from participating in three years of track in junior high. I know I can take the techniques and skills I learned from him to improve how I start races and my speed on the track this year. Coach Travis also taught me exercises to work on my strength and flexibility. I had to work hard in my sessions, but it was also fun! Athlete
Not only did Coach Travis provide excellent coaching for my daughter, but he also provided me tips about better spikes for speed and equipment she can use for training/strengthening. He is friendly, personable and encouraging with the athlete and is genuinely invested in wanting them to succeed whether he works with them just a few times (like us since we live a long distance away) or many times. I highly recommend him as a coach.

David (CoachUp client)
Great Coach, very knowledgeable about hurdles and good with the kids, due to his background in education.
Geoff (CoachUp client)
Travis is knowledgeable, engaging, and absolutely someone I would recommend if you have an aspiring track star. My son loved the session and came away better for the time and armed with knowledge to take him further.
I found his rates very reasonable given the experience and knowledge he brought and could not be more grateful for the time!!
Jaidyn (CoachUp client)
Amazing pointers on form and building duration! Attentive and easy to talk to
Rhiannon (CoachUp client)
He's absolutely excellent! He knows his stuff and our son really reacts to his coaching technique.
Kelly (CoachUp client)
Sara’s session with Coach Travis boosted her confidence in her ability and has motivated her to put the work in to compete at the next level. His approach with her was intuitive with the perfect combination of acknowledgement and understanding of her slight step backwards, encouragement/praise, challenge/push for her to do what she is capable of doing and ending on a win! You can tell that he has the experience to back everything he shared/taught Sara.

Awesome coach, very knowledgeable on sprints, running technique and hurdles, Travis is positive and encouraging, he takes time to demonstrate proper form and makes sure the athlete understands the drills and concepts he is teaching. If you are considering booking with Travis, don't hesitate, he knows what he's doing!

All around great coach!
Football Athlete (Testimonial)
Perfect for speed and endurance, I’ve never improved as fast and as much as I did before doing this
Athlete (Testimonial)
Travis is probably the best coach you will ever have. He focuses on technique and specific workouts to strengthen different areas of performance rather than just working you into shape. He cares for everyone and is truly changing lives.
