I am here to help every athlete get better no matter the skill level. Every athlete is different. Our first session would be an assessment of what the athletes strengths and weaknesses are. we will go over them together and then assign them stretches and drills to target their weaknesses so they improve quickly. Balance, mobility and technique are so important and every athlete needs these things to help them achieve their goals. We will come up with a plan and then attack it every practice to make sure they are hitting their goals established in the beginning. One nice part is they will have 'homework' and things to work on before the next training session so I can monitor their improvement. We always end the session with a nice cool down and stretch to help the body go through the training. Also down the road if they want to get into a nice college, i have many connections with college coaches and can put in a good word for them to get into schools if they put in the work. I also have a 24 hour cancellation policy!

Client Reviews

After one session with Coach Taylor, we were very impressed with what we saw. He was able to work with our 11 year old daughter on improving her long jump and running. He was very thoughtful on his approach. He also did a great job explaining things to her when she had questions. He was able to identify areas for improvement and create an individualized plan to help her achieve her goals. We have signed up for more lessons and look forward to seeing her improve under the guidance of Coach Taylor.

Great meeting Coach Taylor! Had a productive session and looking forward to learning more from him to improve my speed and techniques.

Amazing first session. Coach Taylor was able to identify areas of improvement instantly and provided some excellent resources. We’re very happy and look forward to continuing our one on one training.

Coach Taylor is excellent. Had our 1st intro session for our High School JR doing track (he's interested in running in college), Coach Taylor had all the technical knowledge that we expected and also was very good interacting with the HS Athlete. So far so good. Very impressed with his training technique, knowledge & interpersonal skills.

Will be booking more follow up sessions with Coach Taylor. Will provide more feedback after additional sessions.

Fantastic Coach. Top-notch instruction. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

This was our first coaching session with Coach Taylor. Coach Taylor made an immediate impact on my daughter, improving her performance on drills and stretches and what to focus on when practicing her long and high jump. Coach Taylor also gave Erin a better understanding on her distances and footwork. After one lesson, my daughter was ready to come back feeling confident she could excel in this sport with Coach Taylor's help. We have already scheduled a second lesson. Highly recommend a lesson with Coach Taylor.

Coach Taylor met with my 13 year old Daughter for her first training session this past Friday. She told me after that she was looking forward to many more in the future. She felt comfortable with his coaching style and his ability to see right away all that she needs to do to become a better runner!!
Highly recommend Coach Taylor. Looking forward to booking more sessions with his this week.

Very knowledgeable, focused on little details that will maximize speed.
Enjoyed working with Coach Cudequest.

Coach Taylor is a great coach; he provided a lot of suggestions and exercises to our daughter so that after one session she already improved!
Looking forward to the next ones..

My daughter learned a lot from Coach Taylor after just one session. She said that she saw improvement after her first lesson. She is looking forward to training with him!

Excellent!!!

My son has worked with Coach Taylor two times now - and both were very good. Coach Taylor immediately identified reasons (technique) why my son was not running as fast as he could and should be - and advised him on ways to correct this; along with showing him different exercises that would further increase his speed. My son incorporated those techniques at a recent soccer practice/camp and noticed an immediate improvement. I was present for part of the practice and also noticed several sprints where he appeared to run even faster than I've previously seen him run. He told me afterwards, "Dad, I did what Coach Taylor told me and I could tell the difference."

Taylor was very thorough. My daughter really appreciated all that he taught her. She is excited to go back and learn more.

.

Coach Taylor provided invaluable instruction on proper technique and training. His advice on injury prevention will allow me to continue to improve, while avoiding injury. I appreciate his motivational approach and his detailed assessment of my form. I am looking forward to more sessions, which I believe, will take my game to the next level!

My son had a great first session with Coach Taylor. During the initial hour a lot of progress was made via sprint assessment, proper stretching techniques, sprinting block setup and alignment, and sprinting workout. Coach Taylor provided great feedback and recommendations during and after the session, thus, important and valuable elements if my son were to continue on with the sport. I would recommend Coach Taylor to anyone that is looking to improve their performance as well as developing the correct techniques to compete in the track and field sports.

Coach Taylor was awesome! He made a lot of “on the spot” corrections and fixed my form just by watching me 1x! We worked on my sprints and with in minutes I was able to apply his corrections and cut my time significantly. I am currently in the military and would like to pass my PFT with a perfect score…I feel like working with coach Taylor will help me reach that goal based on our first training session. I am excited To continue on this journey with Taylor as my running coach! 5/5 recommend thus far!

Coach Taylor spent the first session working on basic running warm ups and skills with my 11 year old grandson. He was clear in his instructions and explanations, respectful, and overall impressive. He's provided my grandson with excellent resources to use in between coaching sessions, and set clear expectations to work toward. I highly recommend Coach Taylor!

Taylor was great. Henry felt that he did an excellent job explaining how to do the glide technique as well as exercises to significantly improve his ability to throw.

Coach Taylor really understood what my daughter needed. He was very detailed in his instruction and was able to correct her overall form. Coach Taylor also provided additional "homework" that will really help my daughter continue to improve.

Coach Taylor is doing a great job working with my son who is just starting out with the hurdles. After one session, I could tell that my son was more comfortable the next time he practiced with his high school team. I look forward to Coach Taylor helping my son develop his hurdling skills.

Really good initial session. Made a good assessment and gave tools to address. Looking forward to working with him.

Coach Taylor was awesome. He quickly identified deficiencies in my sprinting form and worked with me on drills to address.

My buddy challenged me to a race in front of our whole group of friends a month ago, and I couldn't back down. We're both in our forties and are generally in good shape, but the race was the 400 meter, which is a brutal event. We agreed to one month to prepare. Given that I was in no shape to do well at the 400 meter, I found Coach Taylor online and booked multiple sessions with him. I'm so happy I did. Coach Taylor customized a running program for me that fit my abilities perfectly. He pushed me exactly when needed, but didn't overdue it. During one session, I pulled a muscle and I thought for sure that was the end of my hopes to make it to the race. On the spot, Coach Taylor changed our routine to get me through the session and by the end, I didn't even feel any pain in the muscle I just pulled. I was clocking in at ~82 seconds at the 400 meter prior to my first training with Coach Taylor. The race took place just a few days ago. Not only did I easily beat my friend, but I finished the race in 68 seconds!!! Coach Taylor is extremely knowledgeable, a great running coach, and just an overall awesome guy. I highly recommend him for Track and Field athletes of all ages and levels!

Coach Taylor is exactly someone I am looking for. As for me, even though I have trained with track and field in some clubs for non-professional sprinters, I have no formal technical training. For this reason, whenever I approach any coach and tell them I want very rigorous training on techniques, I either receive news that it is not useful or the coach just let me do whatever I want.

Coach Taylor is totally different. Even though I am called a "baby" in the professional track and field world, he never lowers any of the training's quality and corrects any mistakes, no matter how minute it is. This is the trait of the most outstanding teachers and coaches in this world. I will wholeheartedly recommend coach Taylor to anyone around me, professional or not.

Excellent instruction for our son!

In just 5 sessions he improved my 40 yard dash from a 5.2 to a 4.7. That’s a half a second. If you are hesitant about having him coach you, don’t be. Just look at the results.

Great coach! He helped my son who plays basketball with his speed and quickness.

Video coaching!! High jump!

Taylor has been video coaching my daughter for nine months. Taylor is excellent, Taylor is amazing with her! We have been doing the drills, workouts and exercises he has giving her during the week. I video her doing them, then upload a selection of them, about ten and then we review them during our coaching time.

My high jumper has vastly improved her confidence, her consistency, and her ability to get higher. Taylor was 100% the right choice from Coach up!!

Great coach, very solid, compassionate and a role model for young men.

From moment one to the end of the session was a learning process. We discussed what my goals were, Taylor came up with a plan, helped identified what needed work, and we executed. Very grateful for the knowledge and new skills.
Highly recommend for athletes, runners, or military hopefuls like me of any age!

Very Professional and Knowledgeable, Thanks Taylor!

My son went to his first session and learned so much! He’s great!

Coach Taylor was great during his first session with my daughter. She is a 10yo soccer player looking to improve her technique and speed. He did a lot of really great (and more importantly b/c of her age, fun) drills. Looking forward to future sessions with Coach Taylor.

Coach Taylor is professional , caring and committed.
I highly recommend him .

Coach Taylor was just what we needed. My son plays a few sports - baseball and basketball right now - and wanted help in improving his speed. In just one session, he came home raving about how much he learned about his old habits and how he can improve. It was so beneficial for him. Taylor is personable, professional and so knowledgeable. Thanks Coach!

Taylor was great, helped me with a ton of things I needed! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to enhance their athletic abilities. Thanks Taylor!

Very Professional and Dedicated in sports

I’m beyond pleased with my first session with Coach Taylor kind friendly very knowledgeable in multiple ways. I learned more in my first hour then I have in years running alone. So happy to have found such a great all round guy and excellent coach. Thank you Coach looking forward to the next session.

Now my son is meeting with Coach Taylor consistently. He is gaining confidence and working harder. His commitment has shown improvement as well. Coach Taylor has done a great job figuring out how to improve the overall mechanics of my son’s muscular structure and has developed exercises and drills to help my son use his body more effectively to improve his form, speed, and overall effectiveness. We would highly recommend Coach Taylor.

After the fifth session with Coach Taylor my son is gaining confidence and jumping higher than he ever has. I wish track season wasn’t over in high school but so looking forward to seeing my son improve each time he meets with Coach Taylor. Thanks for figuring out my son and building his confidence. Excited for his sophomore year in high jump.

First time meeting with Coach Taylor. He really worked with my son on his approach to the high jump. Looking forward to his next session.

Great coach my daughter left pumped up and ready to learn more!! Thank you!!

Our first training session with Coach Taylor was very detailed & informative. He showed patience with my daughter, but more importantly he had such a positive attitude & was very encouraging in his comments to her. Technique & training are considered the foundation of every great athlete, but it's the type of coaching that makes the biggest impact in the athletes performance & success. We just booked 3 more sessions with Coach Taylor & signed up for the ongoing training program. Looking forward to great results. Thanks Coach Taylor,

Coach Taylor was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. They started with warm ups, very enlightening to watch. Then he had her run and stop, to be able to give her feedback in between on form. Then cool down. He was really on point about everything. I would definitely recommend him! My daughter now has hope that she’ll improve her time for Cross County.

My son had his 1st session, my son enjoys working with Coach Taylor.

Coach Taylor is excellent! We knew Coach was an accomplished decathlete and training for the Olympic team, so it was a given that he would be knowledgeable. But, we've really been impressed by his coaching ability, and his approaches to both, the physical and mental aspects of competition and training. Mental toughness is so critical, and there's no question that Coach Taylor's prior and current experience enable him to help guide, support, and motivate young athletes. Soon, we'll schedule our daughter to join our son and Coach Taylor in the workouts.

Coach Taylor has been working with my 10 yo son to improve his speed, strength and agility. My son is sometimes a bit slow to pick up new movements, but Coach Taylor is patient and easy to work with. My son’s progress has been amazing in a short time and we are really happy with Coach Taylor’s knowledge and teaching style.

Coach Taylor was great in his first training session with my teenage son. Thanks!

He was very thorough.Gave an explanation of every step of the throws for me from the very beginning and then had me throwing the first time out. It was great.

Coach Taylor is a great coach.

Taylor is very professional and great to work with. I'm learning a lot from him and he's very helpful with coming up with suggestions to make me better at the sport, which is the high jump and long jump. Taylor is very good at working with what you bring to the lesson. He does not make you conform to something that is not comfortable for you. He's great at working with your style and method. He's a great communicator and very patient. I would highly recommend Taylor for a coach.

Amazing coach, very encouraging and supportive can’t wait for progress.

Coach Taylor is very knowledgeable,
experienced and takes pride in his craft.
My son has been working with him for a month and we’ve scene huge improvements. He’s a long distance runner that competes in cross contry, 3200m and 1600m.
On top of coach Taylor’s wealth of knowledge, my son really enjoys working with him, he’s a thorough and patient coach.

I highly recommend Coach Taylor. My son is a basketball player and Coach Taylor is working on his explosiveness, speed, and vertical leap. He really knows what he doing to improve running mechanics, so that an athlete can maximize his speed.

The kids loved the session! They are looking forward to the next one and are stoked to practice what he taught them.

My son loves coach Taylor. He is excited before every lesson. In just 3 sessions, he has learned so many valuable techniques and we have decided to continue training with him. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their time and skill in running.

We were very pleased with our session with Coach Taylor. He have my daughter some very good pointers with regard to high jump technique as well as a few exercises, drills, and stretches to help her improve.

He takes time to explain everything, is always postiive and encouraging, and is helpful in all aspects of my training such as diet and nutrition. Enjoy working with him and look forward to working together over the coming months and years.

My daughter had an online session with Coach Taylor. Even over a cell phone video feed he immediately noticed important details about my daughter’s technique in the high jump and long jump that no one else has noticed. Taylor is a greatest coach who helped me with different areas of my body and the proper machines to use in the gym. As well as the new eating regiment that i have due to his great knowledge on healthy eating habits. Taylor is a very mannered coach who cares more about his clients than hisself with helping clients to get a better body imagine.

I have been very impressed with Coach Taylor. He is great with kids, is very detailed oriented and extremely focused on technique. My son is really enjoying the training sessions, making very good progress and looks forward to his sessions. I highly recommend him.

Great running coach and overall person. Coach Taylor helped me increase my speed by at least two minutes within a couple of sessions by having me focus on technique and turnover . I always look forward to working out with him.

Coach Taylor was able to teach me a ton about simple technique and proper form. After applying what I learned in just one session, I’ve already improved in speed. I also highly recommend proper pre and post running care. Coach Taylor was able to be very informative in that regard.

Great Coach. Amazing improvement after just 2 sessions. Really gets to know the athlete and works on exactly what they need.

Coach Taylor has demonstrated that he has the experience and skills necessary to take my son, Matthew, to the next level in track and field. I was looking for a coach that could teach Matthew to be a decathlete at the elite high school level; and I am delighted that I found Coach Taylor through Coach UP. After one session, Coach Taylor has lifted Matt's confidence, which is the first step to a successful training regimen.

Review From Kyle (age 15)

I like Coach Taylor because he's helping me understand what I need to do to learn the mechanics for sprints so that I can get on the track and field team next year. He corrects me and teaches me how to fix my mistakes. He is patient with me and I feel comfortable working with him. I look forward to practicing with him and getting better and faster each time I see him!

My daughter plays Organized Club Soccer, coach Taylor has significatly improved her speed, indurance, stamina and overall technique, in a very short time giving her an edge over her teammates. Coach Taylor made a difference in my 8 year old daughter's running in just one session. In her next race she ran with more relaxation and efficiency and had the best time she's had all year. Better yet, he's patient, encouraging, and she is actually looking forward to her next lesson. Very excited to have found such a motivating and knowledgeable coach!

We were looking for a great track and field coach for our 9 year old daughter, and we were lucky enough to find Coach Taylor! From the first session, our daughter learned more about technique and drills to strengthen her core and legs then she had learned all season with her team. She looked forward to each training session with Coach Taylor and we could see a definite improvement in her overall technique, approach, form and landing. We look forward to future training sessions next season as well! Thanks for making the sessions fun and informative! I would highly recommend Coach Taylor as he knows his stuff!

It is very humbling and an honor to be writing on the behalf of Mr. Taylor Cudequest. Taylor is the model student-athlete for the CSUN Track and Field Team. He shows enthusiasm and dedication to his craft all the while exemplifying his eagerness to continue to learn. Within my first weeks at CSUN, Taylor took time out of his day to introduce himself and ask when we could begin with proper instruction. His eagerness and go-getting attitude showed me he is a leader among his peers and will also go out of his way to acknowledge and confront a new situation. With Taylor’s demeanor and work ethic, I believe he possesses the qualities to become a leader for impressionable youth. Since November 2015, I have worked closely with Taylor in the realm of athletics. From day one, I have been very impressed with Taylor’s work ethic and coach-ability. Taylor has shown up each day with a purpose and the mindset to be the best student-athlete he possibly can. Taylor is resilient and will go beyond any measure to ensure he reaches his goal, whether it is short-term or long-term. Taylor’s work ethic goes beyond athletics as he is an honor roll and dean’s list student-athlete. Punctuality, respect among and for his peers and his charisma demonstrate how bright a future in teaching can be for him. Taylor’s demeanor has gained the respect of his peers in a way that is invaluable. If there is an issue, he has a solution or is creating a plan to resolve the problem all while doing it calmly and efficiently. As I have worked with Taylor, I have learned he is wanting to become a secondary mathematics teacher. Within my first year, I have worked with Taylor’s schedule as he was a tutor and instructional aide at Granada Hills Charter High School. With great character and demeanor, Taylor was a role model for several students. Not only did Taylor have an impact on teenagers’ grades, but Taylor also provided new found motivation in the classroom and everyday life for his students. In summary, Taylor is a natural leader with motivation and purpose. He is very interested in becoming a teacher which I believe is a natural niche for him due to the reasons listed above. I am confident that Taylor will take what he has learned as a student-athlete and carry it to the track and be very successful.
Taylor is an awesome coach in track and field events. He helped me tweak my technique in high jump letting me be able to reach a new PR. He coached me in other events such as shot put, discus, 110 hurdles and pole vault. He is the type to never let you quit even when, at the time, it seems like a hard and grueling process because he always has the bigger picture or the final goal in mind. Taylor sets himself apart from other tutors/coaches due to his ability to communicate in a way that most people are able to understand and take the most from what he says and apply it to whatever it is that they need his help working on. Taylor is extremely kind and very patient when working under pressure. He can stay calm and collect himself or anyone else when the time is called for. Taylor has a significant amount of experience and knowledge in the lifestyle of track and field, that is on and off the track and or field. I would highly recommend Taylor as a coach.
