PFT (law enforcement/military candidates) -5K-MARATHON COACHING SESSIONS:

1. LET'S GET STARTED! During the initial IN-PERSON coaching session (sessions are typically 60 minutes) running students complete a brief Nutrition Profile, a Running Form/Gait Analysis and a Functional Strength & Movement Screening. The results are reviewed with the coaching student and used as the basis for crafting their specific Coaching Experience.

ONLINE RUNNING SPECIFIC STRENGTH TRAINING COACHING SESSIONS are also available and are a great way to supplement your in-person RUNNING training experience.
The ONLINE COACHING format is also very effective when used for NUTRITION COACHING.

2. Coaching sessions begin with a warm-up and then progress to flexibility/range of motion activities.
3. NEXT, the format for a private/partner session depends on what the PRIMARY FOCUS of a session is for that training day such as; Distance/Sprints, Agility Training, CORE Conditioning, Explosive Power, Endurance Training etc. When possible, strength training/core conditioning activities are incorporated into aerobic conditioning drills.
4. SESSIONS CONCLUDE with a cool-down > a combination of active/passive flexibility activities and > a brief Sports Nutrition Tip/Nutrition Journal Review.

Coach Steve has really helped push me towards my goals. I found out about an upcoming PT exam with only about 2-3 weeks left so I immediately found a running coach. Coach Steve understood my circumstances and was able to perfectly fine tune a plan to meet my needs. If you are looking to up your level in terms of any kind of physical test/assessment. Coach Steve is your guy.

Coach Steve was amazing. My daughter loved working with him and especially loved the great conversations they had while training. It made the sessions super enjoyable for her and helped take her mind off all the hard work she was putting in. Coach Steve's training helped her tremendously in her running in both speed and form and it definitely showed on the fields. I would highly recommend Coach Steve to all and look forward to working with him in the future.

Just had my first session with coach Steve and it was great! Despite the 90+ degrees he kept me motivated and with his tips and encouragement I was able to shave 5 seconds off my 300m time! Really looking forward to our next session!

Received a very gratifying text message yesterday from one of my recent CoachUp running students who is training for the US Marshals program --"Hey Steve, just wanted to let you know that your workouts from our training sessions helped me out a lot today. We did a 2 mile run (trail), sprints, push ups, sit ups and finished off with stairs. They worked us pretty good today. Glad I came prepared. I was able to keep up and not fall out of the pack. 👍👍👍 Thanks Steve!
Steve is a real pleasure to work with. I began working with Steve about two months ago. During my initial consultation with Steve, I mentioned to him that my primary goal was to have more energy during the day so I could do more of the things I wanted to do. I also wanted to get stronger to help alleviate pain I had been experiencing from a surgically repaired torn ACL and meniscus in my right knee. I hoped that Steve would be able to help me with these issues and give me a stronger body. Steve has tailored my workouts to first strengthen the weak areas, but each of our sessions is also a full-body workout designed to get my body back in balance. Steve also helps me to monitor everything I eat and then advises me on how I can improve my diet to maximize my energy during the day. Steve is a real pleasure to work with. He makes exercise enjoyable. The exercises vary from week to week so they don't get boring and the intensity increases each week as I get stronger. He also motivates me to supplement our workouts with strength training exercise and walking on my own.
Steve has added a new dimension of motivation, enthusiasm and creativity to my workout sessions.""You rank up there with the best of them!" “I have worked with many trainers in my day and you rank up there with the best of them! You make training fun and most importantly, you really care about helping me achieve my goals. These past few months have been awesome!
Now that I have successfully completed the NJ Marathon, I just wanted to thank you Coach Steve for the excellent training program you provided. Your program was so thorough and you always provided support during those dreaded long runs! Your program enabled me to achieve a personal goal of running a marathon, and to have fun in the process. Right up to the finish line, your support and guidance was a critical element of my success. As you reminded me every week, “Relax, have Fun, and GO FOR IT! You CAN do it!” Well Steve, I did do it, and I have you to thank. I would highly recommend your program to any one thinking of running a marathon.
