UESCA ultramarathon, USA Track & Field, and RRCA lvl 2 certified running coach. During my 20 years in the Marine Corps I was responsible for developing training plans and leading one on one and group workout sessions to keep Marines physically fit. I was also responsible for developing and leading fitness programs to assist those who fell outside of military standards to achieve healthy body composition percentages and increase their physical fitness test results. I have trained military family members to achieve amazing goals as running their first mile without stopping all the way to running their first marathon. I have coached clients across all military services, young adults training to enter the armed services, and law enforcement personnel.

I have multiple road and trail marathons finishes and currently looking at achieving entrance into the Marine Corps Marathon running club. I have run countless half marathons and shorter distance races, both trail and road. My passion is ultra marathons and timed race events. These are true mental and physical limitation tests, especially the timed endurance events that really don't have a finish line, just keep moving for 6, 12, 24+ hours.
No two athletes are the same so no two training plans should be. Stephen has been an excellent coach, both with the amazing custom plan he created for my busy work schedule and also for the uplifting motivation he has provided. I had a difficult goal that I wanted to attain in a relatively short period of time and Stephen was able to create a custom running plan for me that slowly increased duration and speed of my runs and prepared me to complete my goal just in time to pass my test. Been working with Stephen for a few weeks now coming from a military background and hating running due to the constant go-hard running culture in the military. Since he also had a military background I was cautious, but in our first conversation he showed me what I suspected all along - running shouldn’t suck so much all the time. He knew the culture I was coming from and the difficulty I’d have slowing down, despite hating running for being painful as I constantly pushed into high intensity it had become a habit, the only way I really ever ran or did physical training. Well, he’s shown me a different way of doing this running business, and it’s far more enjoyable. His coaching will definitely push you, but it’ll be more focused and methodical while not constantly draining you. Awesome coach!
