More About Coach Sophia

As a versatile trainer with a B.S. in Kinesiology from LSU, I bring extensive coaching experience across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. My background spans clinical settings, child development, and elite sports performance. I have successfully coached across all levels such as children, primary school students, collegiate athletes, and adults up to age 55. My journey includes guiding children through developmental milestones at KidStrong, working with adult populations at NardFit in Baton Rouge, and driving sports performance at D1 Training and Colleyville Heritage High School in north Texas.
While my primary focus centers on developing high school athletes, my expertise comfortably reaches pediatric to geriatric populations. Backed by industry-leading credentials, including NASM CPT, NASM CPFT, and American Heart Association BLS/CPR/AED/First Aid certifications, I deliver safe, science-backed training that elevates performance and promotes lifelong wellness for every client.

My athletic journey spans multiple disciplines and high-level competitive stages. I began as a competitive gymnast from ages 2 to 10 across Texas, building a strong foundation in body awareness and strength. Transitioning to Women’s Lacrosse from ages 10 to 18, I served as varsity team captain for two years, played on elite select travel teams, and earned all-district honors, all-state honors, and athletic scholarships.
At age seventeen, I discovered competitive bodybuilding. I competed in major Texas shows at ages eighteen and nineteen, winning my classes and securing multiple top-five finishes. Today, I proudly compete as a professional bodybuilder across Texas and Louisiana, holding numerous awards including multiple first place finishes. This diverse personal competitive experience, from youth gymnastics and high school lacrosse to professional bodybuilding, deeply enriches my coaching perspective and fuels my drive to help others succeed.

A typical training session with me is built entirely around education, longevity, and purposeful movement. Because I am deeply "why" and "how" focused, I do not just put clients through a workout; I teach them the mechanics behind every exercise so they understand how to protect their bodies and carry that knowledge forward.
We begin every session with a dynamic warm-up centered on mobility and injury prevention, drawing heavily from my athletic training background. From there, we move into targeted movement patterns using specific drills for form correction, stability, and biomechanical efficiency. Whether we are building athletic performance or working through rehabilitation, I prioritize flawless technique over heavy loads. We work for our health so our bodies can work for us, ensuring every athlete leaves stronger, smarter, and better equipped for long-term success.
