More About Coach Robert
I have been coaching runners for the better part of 10 years in everything from online training plans to in person running specific strength programs. I've worked with a number of high school athletes, but have coached a fair number of adult recreational runners as well. I have a personal training certification from ACSM as well as an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M in Applied Exercise Physiology. Whether you're wanting to tackle your first race, or take your running to the next level, I'll be able to work with you to achieve your goals.
I've been doing strength training as a part of my running training since I was in high school. I've been a runner my entire life, and most of my work in the gym has reflected that with focuses on injury prevention, performance, and balance. As a runner, I've competed in high school cross country and track, collegiate club triathlon, and age group marathons, road races, and ultra distance trail races.
Sessions with me are tailored to the individual client's needs. All sessions will start with a dynamic warm up focusing on mobility drills and muscle engagement. Depending on the specific needs or goals of the session, workouts will start the main body with a focus on the most complicated movement (compound lifts, olympic lifts, plyometrics, etc.) before moving on to accessory, balance, core, and nitty gritty specific needs movements.
