Certified Level 3 (highest) by NFHS (includes Middle Schools). Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED by Red Cross and NFHS. Credentialed as Cross-Country Specialist by USATF. Successfully coached summer track while in HS and college. Additionally, coached youth basketball when my kids were younger; founded and coached a boys' HS rugby side (2nd place in Illinois with 3 Midwest All-Stars); coached a collegiate women's rugby side (18 rookies finished season with winning streak!) It's all about the athlete; not about the coach, who merely imparts knowledge and assists in the athlete's understanding and execution of skills.

I competed in track and cross country in high school (Cony HS, Augusta, ME) and in college (Trinity International University, Deerfield, IL - NAIA). Won Northeastern 1000-yard indoor championship in HS and came in 2nd in state in both outdoor 440 and 880 within 45 minutes; multiple time All-Stater in track and XC; NCCAA All-American track and cross-country; 3-time competitor in NAIA National XC championships. I currently self-train, running 6 hilly miles several times per week with additional strength training. Stay current on latest, science-based training methods (not fads).

I provide: a guided warm-up walk/run; dynamic warmup exercises; periodized, targeted and non-judgmental training based on client's unique, individual needs, current fitness level, and goals; recommendations on, and drills for, techniques/mechanics; cool-down and static stretching exercises; science-based explanations for the purpose of each drill, exercise, and workout, as well as answers to any questions the client may have. We start where you 'are' and progress from there. Can create Custom Packages for 2 or more athletes at same session.
