More About Coach Rachel

I've been coaching adults and kids since 2015, successfully coaching adult runners to personal records in the 5K all the way to the ultramarathon. My youth running programs are designed to introduce children in grades K-6 to the sport of running. Additionally, I'm the head track and field and cross country coach at the high school level.

I'm USATF Level 2 certified in both Endurance and Sprints-Hurdles-Relays, a USATF XC Specialist, RRCA certified, NHFS accredited, and an NASM-CPT fitness trainer.

A better coach than athlete, I briefly ran cross country and track in middle school, but took a long hiatus from the sport until adulthood. My favorite road race distance is the half marathon and my favorite trail distance is the 50k.

Typical sessions depend very much on ability and goals. Most adult clients prefer working one on one to complete form drills or long runs. High school students interested in developing their skill will work on skill drills dependent on their sport. Most often this includes speed work or technical work in high jump or long jump.
