More About Coach R.J.

I have experience coaching youth flag football teams ranging from 8 years old to 15 years old. The organization I coached with was called Next Level Flag Football.

I have played football most of my life. I started playing flag football when I was 10 years old. I started tackle football in 8th grade. I played high school football for Santa Margarita HS in orange county, Ca. From there I went on to play 5 years of college football at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. There I earned a scholarship and was voted to team captain for the 2017-18 season.

My typical session would differ based on the position the individual is most interested in. In general, the session would begin with a dynamic warmup followed by footwork drills. From there we would typically move into position-specific workouts that would enhance the athletes' ability to excel at said position. These position-specific drills would typically include some sort of ball drills and basic concepts that pertain to the position. Note that a specific position is not required for each session.

Great coach with positive energy and football skills

RJ is an awesome coach. My 15 year old son loves him and said he was really nice and gave him great drills and tips. Super nice guy. We will def book another session.

Hunter was a little nervous for his first EVER football coaching session. He was thrilled and felt super confident after training with RJ. It was a good mix if drills, footwork and conditioning. Mom is happy because her kid is off the video games!! Thanks coach RJ!

It's rare that you come across a standout like RJ. I had the pleasure of playing football with RJ for 5 years within our time attending Cal Poly SLO. I can confidently say that he is someone who is dedicated to not only his own success, but to those around him as well. This is why RJ was unanimously voted to be a team captain by our peers. He is a great example of a selfless leader and has earned my highest recommendation as both a team member or a leadership role.
