More About Coach Nathaniel

I bring a wealth of knowledge about effective training techniques from the past 9 seasons I have played football, as well as my experience coaching kids in basketball in 2018 where I learned how to effectively communicate with children. I am a current college football player at Oberlin College and a graduate of IMG Academy where I was coached by former NFL players such as Pepper Johnson, Mike Sellers, and Trae Thomas. I have been in leadership positions on my teams, including being a captain and running practice drills.

In 2020, as a receiver on the IMG Academy football team, we were named unanimous High School Football National Champions by Maxpreps, USA Today, and CBS Sports. I have continued my career at Oberlin College, where I started 4 games as a freshman in 2021. After missing a large portion of the 2022 season due to injury, I'm now a captain for the upcoming 2023 season.

While I have the most experience training receivers/tight ends, I can create a specific program of drills for any position. Speed and quickness are crucial for any position on the field, so I'll also focus on speed hurdles and cone/ladder drills for every position to maximize their impact on the field. After warming up with agility drills, I will put players through position-specific skill-based drills to improve their familiarity and comfort with some of the common movements of their position.

I don’t think my son has sweat and worked out this much!! Coach Castro’s and my son’ first session was awesome. They worked on quick feet with ladder drills, and stances. Coach has a great way of communicating and instructing, and I’m confident that with more work with him, my son is going to be explosive!! Can wait!
