More About Coach Mitch

I have coaching experience in almost every level in football, including: Varsity Head Coach in Frazer, Montana in 2006 (6-man); Assistant Coach in Mountain Lake, Minnesota (8-man and 9-man); Assistant Coach in Windom, Minnesota in 1985-6 (11-man); (QB/WR Coach) Maple Grove High School, Maple Grove, Minnesota (11-Man) and coached a semi-pro team, and also the founder/President of the GPFL in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota (Pro Football Type Rules) from 1991-2005.

My athletic accomplishments are playing at the collegiate level in Rochester, Minnesota and Worthington, Minnesota; playing two years of arena football in Mankato, Minnesota; player of the decade (semi-pro GPFL) and one of the first four players to be inducted into the Minnesota Minor League Football Hall of Fame; and trying out for the NFL. The positions I have played are quarterback, running back, wide receiver, linebacker, and cornerback/safety.

In a session, I would break down the athlete fundamentally to identify strengths and weaknesses in order to know what they need to improve on. Through a typical session, I would have them go through agility drills, focus on drills in their position they are best suited for or trying to improve on, and go over coverages, zones, routes, schemes, blocking, terminology, and expectations. I would also film the athlete doing the drills to show how to breakdown their form and technique, in order for them to improve and learn how to spot such strengths and weaknesses. I would implement knowledge from both a defensive and offensive stand point to know all of the aspects of the game.

Awesome coach! Very knowledgeable

Coach Mitch is a great coach! He takes the time to show the fundamentals of the sport. His training and techniques are top notch. I would recommend Coach Mitch to anyone.... We need more coaches like him...

Coach Mitch is awesome! My son has been raving about him since we left the park yesterday evening. My son said that coach Mitch was teaching him to be smart, beacuse everyone is athletic in football, but knowledge gets you farther, I love that. I'm so pleased that we were able to find such a great and knowledgeable teacher here in El Paso.

Day one, saw major improvements. Coach Mitch was quick to assess my son's ability level and football IQ. He then taylored the drills to build on his strengths and develop his weak areas. As much as I am impressed with Coach Mitch's technical training skills, it was seeing my son excited to learn and smiling that was the icing on the cake. If you want to challenge your child, while maintaining a love of the game, Coach Mitch is your guy.

coach shows a lot experience!! he really is helping Issac to get better on his game. He is a great coach. I am glad he is giving a good feedback to my son.

Was beyond impressed with the session. Coach went above and beyond showing and teaching different portions of football details. This was a great experience, and you could see that the coach cares about the kids and gives you maximum attention in and out of the drills. Can't wait for our next session! Recommend him for anyone looking to better their youth football players.

I want to thank coach Mitch for taking his time and training my son. Coach Mitch is an excellent trainer he takes his time to explain every play, move and positioning of each and every player in a football perspective. My son is really surprised of all the knowledge coach Mitch shared with him and feels more confident in his role as a football player. Thank you coach Mitch for all the knowledge your shared in only one training session can’t wait to start the 2nd session.

We took our son to our first session with Coach Even and were very impressed with his vast knowledge of the game of football. He really brought out the best in our son and he’s excited for his next training session.

Coach Mitch is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend him for any of your football training needs.

After one session my nephew and I were very impressed. His knowledge of the game of football is by far greater than I could have ever expected. He was able to help him with his footwork, route running/ getting off the line, and his hands. Most importantly he helped him with the different terminologies he will come across in college as well as the different types of coverage. It was a great session and will definitely be booking more in the near future. My nephew said as we walked away that he hadn’t had a workout like that in a while. Great Job Coach Mitch!

My son had his first practice with Coach Mitch today and he learned so much about the QB basic fundamentals and the leadership qualities he needs to have to succeed in his role. An A+ coach who cares about making kids be the best they can be.

Coach (Mitch) Even is someone who is dedicated to football and has been for many years. He brings immense knowledge of the game and always has amazing ideas. Not only has he played football his whole life basically, but has played college, arena and semi -pro leagues. He doesn't hold onto this knowledge, but shares it with fellow football players or kids/athletes he is training. He takes great pride in making sure you understand what he is talking about. Random quizzes during training assures you're taking in the material. He has all the equipment necessary to make sure you're going to excel. From ladders for footwork drills, weighted footballs for better handling, cones for routes, you name it, he has it. He provides feedback right then and there to assure that you correct your mistake there. He does/t wait until the end to tell you. As i mentioned before, he wants to make sure you're really learning and cut the bad habits then and there. Not only is he my coach and fellow teammate, but also a great mentor. He always provides great advice and makes sure you're on the correct path. I would recommend coach for anyone. Whether you're a 5th grader or to someone who is already in college. If you want to become a great football player and excel in this game, call Coach Even. I promise you won't regret it.
