More About Coach Michael
I have several years of experience coaching both lacrosse and sports performance training. I’m a co-owner and performance coach at 99 Elite Performance Training in Matawan, NJ, where I work with athletes ranging from youth to college level. I specialize in speed, strength, and explosive movement development.
My lacrosse background includes playing at Georgian Court University, where I was named CACC Player of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year (2018), and part of a conference championship team. I’ve coached boys and girls lacrosse at the youth, high school, and college levels, focusing on both individual skill development and athletic performance.
I work primarily with athletes ages 10 to college-aged, helping them build the physical tools to perform at a high level in their sport.
I was a collegiate lacrosse player at Georgian Court University, where I earned multiple honors during my career. I was named CACC Player of the Year and Male Athlete of the Year in 2018, and helped lead my team to a conference championship. Throughout my playing career, I was known for my speed, physicality, and leadership on the field. My experience at the collegiate level has shaped my understanding of the game and continues to influence the way I train and develop athletes today.
In a typical performance training session, clients can expect a structured, high-energy environment focused on speed, strength, and explosive movement development. Every session starts with a 10–15 minute dynamic warm-up, which includes mobility work, movement prep, and activation drills to ensure the athlete is ready to perform at a high level and reduce injury risk.

From there, we move into acceleration and plyometric work to improve explosive power and first-step quickness. This could include sled sprints, bounding, depth jumps, or sprint mechanics drills—depending on the athlete’s goals and sport.
Next, we transition into the strength training portion, which is tailored to the athlete’s age, sport, and experience level. This typically includes compound lifts like squats, trap bar deadlifts, and push/pull variations, with a focus on proper form, tempo, and long-term progression.
We finish with core work, mobility, or conditioning, based on the athlete’s needs and training phase. Every session is built around purposeful progression, with a clear focus on developing the physical qualities that transfer directly to sport performance—whether that’s vertical jump, speed, or overall power output.
Sessions are intense but purposeful, with constant feedback, coaching, and positive energy. Athletes leave knowing they’ve worked hard and made progress toward their goals.

Heather (Testimonial)
Since training with Coach Mike, my daughter has become noticeably faster and has built the endurance to perform at a high level throughout the entire game. It’s been very obvious not only to me but also to other parents who have seen her improvement.
