More About Coach Margaret

I'm currently the Associate Head Swim Coach at Johns Hopkins University and have helped guide both the men's and women's teams to top ten NCAA finishes. I've coached individual national champions, as well as numerous All-Americans, and am excited to take my expertise and help you reach the next level in your swimming goals!

I also coach multiple technique-focused clinics throughout the year, in addition to directing the Nike Maryland Swim Camp at Johns Hopkins.

At Susquehanna University, I served as both the Aquatics Director and an Assistant Swim Coach, leading our women's program to their 8th consecutive Landmark Conference Championship title.

I hold certifications as an NCSA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and in American Red Cross Lifeguard/First-Aid/CPR/AED.

I completed my bachelors degree in Psychology at John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH and was a four year member of the John Carroll Swimming and Diving team. I have been a swimmer since the age of 4, and have grown up in and around pools, teaching swim lessons starting at the age of 15, all the way through my four years in college. I have extensive experience working with swimmers of all ages and am passionate about helping my athletes reach their goals and beyond.

As a coach, my primary focus is on enhancing efficiency in the water, enabling my athletes to achieve greater speed while conserving energy. I strongly believe in meeting athletes at their current skill level and working together to facilitate improvement. Before developing a personalized training program, I conduct a comprehensive assessment of all four competitive strokes, tailoring the program based on individual goals, current endurance, and speed. This personalized approach ensures that each athlete receives a tailored training plan aimed at maximizing their potential in the water.

Client Reviews

Thank you for all that you do for the team. I am so grateful to have you as my coach. You truly believe in each one of us and cultivate an amazing environment where we push each other to be the best versions of ourselves. I have grown so much both in and out of the water because of you and please know your hard work is appreciated.
I don't think I can say thank you enough for how much you have done for me. Your continued belief in me, both as an athlete and person, have helped me achieve so much more than I ever thought was possible. I am so grateful to have had you as a coach and mentor during my final years of swimming. Thank you.
