More About Coach Louis

In sports and in life, progress starts with a strong foundation. Physical preparation matters, but mental preparation is what allows athletes to perform when it counts.

I help athletes and adults slow things down, focus for an hour, and train with purpose. Every session is intentional. We build strength, speed, agility, and confidence while also developing discipline, body awareness, and mental toughness that carries over into competition and everyday life.

I am an NSCA CPT certified coach with additional certifications in TRX, battle ropes, kettlebell training, and SGX Spartan Race coaching. I have coached athletes at the college level as an assistant coach for men’s basketball at Skyline College and Cañada College, giving me firsthand experience working with competitive athletes who want to improve and take ownership of their development.

What separates my coaching is the emphasis on the mental side of sport. I work closely with athletes to build confidence, focus, and self awareness so they are prepared not just physically, but mentally on game day. Training is not just about lifting weights. It is about learning how to show up, stay present, and trust your preparation.

I bring a diverse athletic background to my coaching. I competed at the junior college level in football and track, giving me experience in both power and speed based sports.

Beyond traditional athletics, I have competed in obstacle course racing and amateur men’s physique competitions. I placed fourth in my first men’s physique competition and finished within the top 100 out of more than 4,000 competitors in a Spartan Race. These experiences shape how I coach resilience, preparation, and consistency.

Each session is individualized and built around your goals, sport, and current ability level. Training follows a structured plan using periodization and progressive overload to ensure long term progress while reducing the risk of injury.

Sessions may include mobility, stability, activation, strength training, conditioning, and sport specific skill development. I emphasize quality movement, proper technique, and intent in every exercise. We train the body and the mind so you leave each session stronger, more confident, and better prepared for what you do outside the gym.
