More About Coach Lauren

I have been playing lacrosse since I was 9 years old. I played through high school (St. Anthony's High School), college (Skidmore College) and have won multiple championships at both levels. I was a two-sport athlete in college at (soccer and lacrosse), and have grown to love not only playing lacrosse but coaching and watching it as well.

I have coached clinics and private sessions for players just beginning their lacrosse careers all the way through high schoolers who are getting recruited to play in college. I believe I can make a positive change in a player's attitude and motivation for the game; for me, passion is the biggest part of any sport.

I played for St. Anthony's High School who is ranked in the top 5 lacrosse programs in the country. In high school, I received the Best Offensive Player Award my sophomore year. On my varsity team my senior year, I received the Blue Collar Award for my hard work and passion on the field. We won the NSCHSGAA Championship my sophomore and senior year. I attended Skidmore College where I received the Rookie of the Week Award for the Liberty League three times. I also was an All-Liberty League Second Team selection. I was named to the All-Liberty League Honorable Mention list in 2012.

Each session is tailored to the specific needs of the player. In general, I start my sessions with a dynamic warm up followed by stick skills. I then incorporate some conditioning, passing, shooting and defense. I finish with a discussion with the player about how the session went for them. I believe repetition is the best way to improve any skill. My main goal is to improve players' confidence and belief in themselves. Above all, I want the player to enjoy the game and of course to have fun!

We signed our daughter up to help her play more aggressively and to increase her effectiveness playing Attack. In such a short time I can say we're very happy with the impact Coach Lauren has had! After the first session my daughter scored 2 goals in a scrimmage, snapping out of a fairly long drought. She's now finished two sessions, her team is 3-1, and although she missed the first game she has scored in all three she's played in; 2 goals in her most recent game. Further, she's increased her awareness of her teammates on the field and is executing good crisp passes and getting her share of assists too. She said about one of her goals that without Coach Lauren's help on how to aggressively attack the goal she never would have even attempted to shoot. We can't thank Coach Lauren enough!
