More About Coach Kyle
My coaching experience includes athletic performance at all three levels of collegiate athletics, I have coached basketball at the high school and Division II level of college, & also coached baseball at the high school level. My main expertise has been coaching athletic performance, where I have coached at UNC-Chapel Hill, UW-Whitewater, & NMU. In this field I have trained a wide variety of sports teams & individuals (both male & female), including Basketball, Soccer, Football, Lacrosse, Track & Field, Golf, Wrestling, Fencing, Bowling, & Hockey. I have had the opportunity to train multiple conference championship teams & national championship teams, and for individuals I have trained All-Americans all the way up to Olympians.
I have been involved in many sports the majority of my life, basketball is the sport I pursued as an athlete. My highly competitive nature has lead me to dedicating my career to understanding the complexity of the human body & how to optimally train it & help athletes truly tap into their maximum potential.
My training sessions are individualistic to every athlete I work with, based off their training age, their injury history, the sport/sports they specialize in, the time of year relative to their season, & what their ultimate goals in athletics are. My programming is a holistic style that includes training movement capacity, general strength, isometric strength, power, speed, stability, & mobility, with the primary emphasis depending on the above factors. All sessions will begin with a dynamic warmup that involves active mobility, rhythm challenges, jump training/plyometrics, & speed development. The main portion of the session will consist of 2-4 blocks with 2-4 exercises each. They typically include one main movement paired with a power/speed exercise & a mobility and/or stability exercise. Depending on time of year & stage of training, I will also include some conditioning work in at the end.
