More About Coach Kate

I currently work full time as a physical therapist. I specialize in manual therapy and treating orthopedic conditions such as low back pain, scoliosis, neck pain, tendonitis and post-surgical conditions. I was previously a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I enjoy teaching people proper lifting technique and helping them lead a healthy lifestyle through prevention of disease.

I am a former collegiate volleyball player. I played at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from 2004-2007. While there my team won the Division III National Championship and we also took 2nd and 3rd in 2007 and 2006, respectively. My senior year I earned All-American honors as a setter. I continue to coach and play around the Madison area.

At your first session, you will complete a health history questionnaire, a subjective interview and a postural and muscle imbalance assessment. These tests will enable me to better gage where to begin with your training. I will take into consideration any current or previous injuries and surgeries. After the evaluation, we will begin with a gentle dynamic warm-up and an introduction to lifting technique and form.

Client Reviews

Coach Kate was great! My daughter has improved after the sessions with her. I would recommend coach Kate to anyone.

Just our first lesson, but I was impressed. Very quickly adjusted drills to skill level. Had several good tips on issues that I had seen but not had the background to identify. Gave good feedback, repeated points to work on, and was very positive. Great facility and tools also. Awesome first lesson.

My daughter was so excited to work with Kate, my husband watched the session and thought Kate was excellent!

Thanks, Kate!

Coach Kate is a fantastic coach and trainer. When she sees something that needs to be corrected, she questions the athlete as to what they could change/adjust to improve the outcome versus just telling them what to do. She spoke with our daughter about her short and long term goals as well as what would be needed to achieve those goals. After one session, our daughter, who has played club volleyball for 5 years, declared Coach Kate to be her favorite coach. We have already booked more sessions.

Coach Kate did a great job of assessing where our son was at with a variety of skills and honed in on the key areas. She gave him useful feedback to incorporate on his own practice time. She was positive and connected well with him. He really worked hard, learned a lot and enjoyed the session.

Coach Kate does an awesome job coaching in the areas in which Sarah needs to work on!

Coach Kate can help you break bad habits! She gives you positive feedback and if you have a hard time with a skill the way she has presented it, she changes the way she presents it. That, is a great coach.

Kate was extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful. On our first lesson, she showed our daughter techniques that no one else had taught her. The one-on-one time with Kate was very helpful and we can't wait to see her again.

Coach Kate was excellent with Avary! A solid hour of Great tips and training!

Coach Kate was great with my daughter today for her 1st lesson. Can't wait to have more lessons. Went back to some basic to build up on. Coach Kate is all about the athlete!
