I am a certified personal trainer through (NASM) I am a youth exercise specialist performance specialist and movement specialist. I coached and trained for 5 years I currently work for D1 training, I train clients from ages 5 to adults
In high school I was a 3 sport athlete in football, basketball and track&field. I went on to walk-on to Old Dominion University as a wide receiver. I am currently competing in track and field for USATF Masters running the 100m, 200m and 400m dash.
My very first session with a client will consist of an assessment. The assessment allows me to gauge an athlete’s readiness, it consists of dynamic posture assessment where I check for any muscular imbalance. During the assessment I will also measure speed, agility, quickness, strength, power and cardiovascular endurance. This allows me to see where an athlete is, it also allows me to properly design a specific training program for that athlete and track progress. After I put the program together for the athlete, will start training. A typical training session will consist of a dynamic warmup, performance depending on the focus for that day. For example if it’s change of direction, this part of the training session is where we focus on that. We then will move onto strength training, after strength training will move onto core and conditioning training and finish with a cooldown stretch.
