More About Coach Jonathan

I have been a high school track and field coach for over 10 years. I have coached almost every event and every level for both boys and girls. Currently, I am the Head Girl's Track and Field coach at a local high school, and I specialize in the sprints, hurdles, and jumps. My coaching focuses on teaching the proper techniques and then building up the athletes fitness so they can apply those techniques even when they are reaching the end of their event.

In a team setting, I have to design more general workouts for a large group of kids, but I would love the opportunity to work with athletes in a 1-on-1 setting where I can target the specific strengths and weaknesses of that athlete. All track & field events require four things: strength, stamina, speed, and technique. Depending on the athlete and the length and frequency of training sessions, my training would attempt to hit on one or more of these areas. Sessions would start with dynamic stretching and warm-up and finish with a cool down which would include flexibility exercises.

Coach Jonathan is a fantastic Coach. He's very seasoned and works well with kids of all ages. He was particularly good with my 10 year old son. Not only does he know running form and mechanics, Coach Jonathan is really good at helping kids see the adjustments they need to make to get into the proper posture and drills to help them improve their mechanics. I would recommend Coach Jonathan highly to anyone interested in running at a high level.

Coach Jonathan gave my son good pointers to help him refine his jumping technique. Suggested drills and exercises he can do on his own.

We were very pleased with our initial training session with Coach Cole. It's a fairly large ask to make speed and agility training/instruction fun for a kid and it was accomplished. We look forward to more training.

Coach Jonathon is an excellent coach. Inside 5 minutes my daughter was feeling comfortable and more confident in her skills at long jump and high jump. I would definitely recommend him.

This is my daughter’s third year training with Coach Jonathan. As a parent, my goal was to find a coach that would evaluate and critique her jumps (high, long , and triple) and then help her make the necessary adjustments to improve her personal bests. After reading through the on-line reviews, Jonathan’s profile seemed to be the best match. While speaking with Jonathan at our first training session, I was certain that we had found the right coach. In the months and seasons that followed my daughter has made significant progress and continues to improve in each season. Jonathan spends time each training session talking to her about her performances in prior meets and helps her set goals for her future meets. He is very approachable and easy to speak with. It is obvious that he takes a genuine interest in his athletes and wants to see them succeed.
