More About Coach Jill
I coach and train athletes of all levels, from 10yr old youths to professional athletes. I specialize in training basketball, football, track, and volleyball athletes. I'm currently a sports performance coach with FAST Personal Training based out of Howard County MD. I am a Certified Sports Condition Specialist through CSCS (required for NCAA conditioning coaches) as well as NASM-PES (National Academy of Sports Medicine...Performance enhancement specialist) In addition I hold cap certification for volleyball, and have undergone continuing education courses regarding working with youth athletes, understanding signs and symptoms of concussions, and ACL prevention.
Multi-sport athlete in high school. (Volleyball, basketball, soccer). Played DI volleyball at Temple University as a libero and went on to play on the pro circuit on the east coast in the USA. 2003 Tried out for the USA national team and was selected to the alternate practice squad. In 2012, I switched gears to track and field and have had lots of success competing IN USATF. 2012 USATF Indoor Nationals silver medaled 200m and 4th 60m. (Not too shabby first year sprinting) Outdoor Regional championships. Gold medaled in 100m, 200m. 2013 Indoor Nationals bronze medaled 60m, silver medaled 200m. 2015 Outdoor New England championships gold medaled 100m, 200m. Currently training with multiple olympians preparing for indoor nationals!
Session-to session is progressive. A build up in preparation for getting the athlete stronger, faster, and more explosive, all the while remaining durable. Based off of our first encounter of going through multiple tests, an athletes skill set is determined, along with taking into consideration if the athlete has any current or preexisting injuries. Once all testing data is complied, an athletes profile is developed and a 12 week progressive plan is put together with anticipation of changes occurring along the way. No one session is typical, however the principals applied in sessions are: In season athletes: the focus is on maintaining strength, perfecting technique, active recovery, increasing speed and explosiveness, maintaining strong core and incorporating injury prevention drills. Off season athletes workouts are geared to building. Increasing strength, rehabbing (active recovery days from all the wear and tear on the body) conditioning, building power and learning how to use it, perfecting technique. Days alternate as to what the focus will be based on if the athlete is coming off complete rest or if the athlete is coming off of 2-3 days of hard explosive training.

Jill is a great coach. I see a difference in my daughters drive, will and excited to see her results as she continues. This was her first session with coach Jill. I am pleased with what I've see from coach Jill and my daughter as well. Jill's approach, passion and detailed precision is absolutely what has not had available in her 4 years of running.

We’ve had a great experience with Coach Jill as our child’s track and speed trainer. The sessions are engaging, and our child looks forward to each one! We’re already seeing improvements in speed, strength, and agility, and we’re confident that Coach Jill will continue to help our child reach their full potential. Coach Jill is very thorough and professional. She was able to redirect my son on a path to make him faster. We feel as though she is able to speak in terms very clear for us to understand as novices to the sport.

Coach Jill is a powerhouse trainer! She is professional and very knowledgeable of her skill. My daughter only went for her evaluation and I can tell Coach Jill does not come out to waste anyone time or money. She is confident in what she brings and she pushes her athletes to be the same. I look forward to her working with my daughter.

I needed a strength and conditioning coach for my son (15 yrs) who plays soccer. Coach Jill is the “real deal”! She is disciplined and knowledgeable about the skills that work best for my son. Her sessions are challenging, and my son never knows what drill she will introduce next – which keeps it interesting. She exhibits mental toughness that is necessary for athletes to be successful. My son’s progress is showing up on the soccer field, and he is motivated. My son will continue to work with Coach Jill. She is the best, and I highly recommend her!

My Son (16yo) has been training with Coach Jill twice a week since Mid-March. He is a HS Soccer player looking to improve acceleration and directional change. My son has already shown benefits from the training. We highly recommend Coach Jill and my son has plans to continue training with her.
Coach Jill evaluated his current capabilities and developed a program with varying exercises. The different training exercises keeps it interesting for him. She pushes him and he’s a sweaty mess afterward, but it’s just enough to continue improving. Coach Jill even took the time to develop a soccer related sprint drill. She a great Coach!

Coach Jill is the epitome of a great coach and active listener. She is a commensurate professional and knows her craft well. In the short span of three workout sessions she improved our daughter’s performance. Identifying key weaknesses in her mechanics and resolving those deficiencies that led to personal records in the recent Junior Olympics regional competition. The athletic leadership demonstrated by Coach Jill has provided an abundance of confidence to our daughter to perform against the tough competition within the Maryland Track and Field arena. We can’t express our sincere gratitude enough for Coach Jill’s expertise over the last few weeks. We look forward to our daughter’s continued growth and success under Coach Jill’s athletic leadership.

A. Evans (Testimonial)
I worked with Jill Mock for approx 10 weeks. In that time I lost over 30lbs, lost over 15% bodyfat, and rekindled my old Track and Field college days at Virginia Tech where I was a mid distance sprinter. As a bonus, Jill got me ready for my 1st marthon, I couldnt have been more pleased. She is the bomb!
