More About Coach Jesse
I am a state-certified tennis coach in Massachusetts with experience at all levels of the game. I previously ran my own junior program, Newburyport Future Tennis Stars, coaching over 25 young players per session, and I have many years of head varsity-level coaching experience. I work with players of all ages and skill levels and am happy to travel closer to you.
As a public school educator, I’m experienced in teaching younger students and using differentiated instruction to make sure every player learns, improves, and gains confidence. Tennis is a skill sport; why not learn the fundamentals and techniques the right way from a trained coach?
I have been playing tennis for nearly 30 years and coaching for over 15. My lessons are clear, effective, and fun. Using proven teaching methods, I help players improve their skills and reach their full potential on the court.
I tailor each session to the player’s skill level. With years of experience playing and coaching, I can pinpoint areas for improvement and work with athletes on footwork, drills, and specific techniques. I use visual cues and imagery to help players grasp concepts quickly and effectively. I also provide developmentally appropriate equipment, like modified balls, nets, or rackets to ensure the best possible learning experience.

Coach Jesse was INCREDIBLE. Our two daughters were very happy with their first lesson. They learned a lot and enjoyed working with Coach Jesse. They are excited to work with him again and their confidence already improved with one lesson. They have both been in soccer for many years, but none of their coaches ever gave them the proper mechanics. In one hour Coach Jesse taught them the proper way to kick the ball with zip and direction. He also created some fun ways for them to practice and his demeanor was great. Probably most important was the fact that Coach Jesse took the time to ask in advance for key things they wanted to work on. He then custom created a personal lesson targeting these specific things. I highly suggest Coach Jesse. He is not only a great teacher, but also a great positive influence for our girls.
