More About Coach James
I am a North Carolina Central University Hall Of Fame quarterback who has been reconized as one of the 100 greatest athletes in the history of the school. Along with the private training that I offer, I have over 19 years of coaching experience on the Middle, High School, college, and semi-pro level coaching Quarterbacks and Receivers and running backs. I served as Offensive Coordinator at V.A. Union for two years where I was also the position coach for the Running Backs, Quarterbacks and Receivers In addition I served as a passing consultant to the Fayetteville Rough Riders for 7 years. I currently train Quarterbacks and Receivers from grade school to High school.
Biography
James Earl Harvey, a native of Fayetteville, NC (Douglas Byrd High School), earned the nickname “Air” for the dynamic aerial assault he displayed on the NCCU gridiron from 1985-88. While a four year starter at North Carolina Central the NCAA, CIAA and NCCU had to re-write the record books!
Coach Harvey was a team MVP, a four-time First-Team All-CIAA selection and a two-time conference offensive player of the year award winner. While earning All American status Coach Harvey set NCCU, CIAA and NCAA Division II records for career passing yards (11,000), career total offense (10,671) and career touchdown passes (86). He also set NCAA Division II records for total offense (3,008) and passing yards (3,190) by a freshman, as well as most touchdown passes in a game by a freshman (6 vs. Johnson C. Smith, Nov. 9, 1985).
In addition he set NCCU and CIAA single-game records for pass completions (33 vs. Johnson C. Smith, Nov. 9, 1985), passing yards (550 vs. Jackson State, Aug. 30, 1986) and total offense (536 vs. Jackson State, Aug. 30, 1986).
He also showcased his talents on the national scene playing in two games on B.E.T. His performed so well, that he garnered the B.E.T Live Player Of Game Award both times.
Coach Harvey and his accomplishments were also featured in Jet Magazine numerous times throughout his career recognizing him as "THE JET PLAYER OF THE WEEK." Recognized as one of North Carolina Centrals 100 "GREATEST ATHLETES" Coach Harvey went on to enjoy an extensive playing and coaching career!!!

The sessions are 45min to 1 hour of power!!!!! This training is unlike any other. Using the I.D.E.A.L teaching method along with reps to rhythm as well as footwork focus Quarterbacks will gain confidence, accuracy, and arm strength. Quarterbacks will learn how to be in the best possible position to throw the best possible pass.

Excellent first session with Coach James! Coach did a great job of communicating in advance and throughout our session (with me and my son) to understand goals/objectives and to tailor a high energy/fast-moving session to directly address those needs. His energy is outstanding and has a well-planned approach to training (building on drills, moving between throwing, footwork, mental toughness, etc.). I have experience in football and have coached my 12-yr son his entire life, but I don't have the expertise/experience at the QB position or anything approaching Coach's football IQ. Coach James picked up things in minutes that I never noticed (or had not effectively addressed) and his observations and actions helped my son to make tangible improvements in one session. I'm looking forward to seeing how additional sessions will build on a great first session! His knowledge and love for the game comes through and I highly recommend Coach James.

My son has trained at various other programs. The drills were good, but my son continued some old habits. This is not "Quarterback by the Numbers" or a cookie cutter program, this is highly personalized training. Coach Harvey noticed the discrepancies on our first visit. We have done approximately 10 sessions, and my son is well on his way to forgetting those bad habits. Each session Coach Harvey has added in some new aspect of training different than the sessions before. I am very pleased. My youngest son will be starting soon.
