More About Coach Helena
I am a CrossFit Level 2 certified coach with five years of experience in strength and conditioning, personal training, and athletic performance. As a former professional basketball player, I bring firsthand experience in high-level competition and understand what it takes to develop strength, endurance, and athleticism.
My coaching background includes CrossFit, functional fitness, strength training, bodybuilding, and sport-specific conditioning. I have worked with athletes and individuals of different ages, fitness levels, and abilities, from beginners looking to build a strong foundation to experienced athletes aiming to improve performance.
My approach combines proper technique, progressive strength development, and challenging conditioning workouts to help clients become stronger, fitter, and more confident in their abilities.
I am a former professional basketball player from Spain with extensive international experience. I represented the Spanish National Team, earning four European Championship gold medals and one bronze medal, as well as a bronze medal at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in 3x3 basketball.
I also competed at the NCAA Division I level at Fairfield University and played professionally in Spain.
Beyond competitive sports, I work as a stunt actor and basketball performer for national commercials, film, and television, combining my athletic background with on-camera performance.
Today, I continue to challenge myself through CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics, martial arts, and strength and conditioning. My diverse athletic background allows me to bring a unique perspective to training, combining performance, versatility, and long-term physical development.
Every session is tailored to your goals, whether you want to build strength, gain muscle, improve mobility, increase endurance, or recover from an injury.
A typical session starts with a dynamic warm-up, followed by strength training and a conditioning workout (WOD) that combines functional movements with exercises to get your heart rate up.
I also work with clients who need a more specific approach, including mobility training, knee and hip rehab, Achilles tendon rehab, tennis elbow, shoulder strengthening, and pelvic floor exercises. Depending on your needs, we can spend more time addressing weaknesses, improving range of motion, and building strength safely.
Longevity is a big part of my coaching philosophy. I want you to feel strong and capable not just today, but for years to come. Whether you're training for performance or simply want to move better and feel healthier, we'll work toward your goals at your own pace.

My 12 year old came back from his first session with Helena absolutely raving about her. She was super enthusiastic, helpful, and patient. We just signed up for a package— I’m just delighted my son found a coach he clicked so well with!

Helena is an outstanding teacher, coach, and mentor of children. She is timely, patient, and passionate about teaching the fundamentals of basketball. Her ability to provide rigor and fun allows her players to understand that she cares about them beyond sports.
