I have the ability to get in the water with the swimmer to use my own technique to supplement their learning which I believe is extremely valuable. I like to first speak with the swimmers to learn their goals and what they would like to work on before jumping into the water. I then have them warm up which is where I am able to see what it is we should work on. Given my 20 year experience in the sport, I am able to identify what needs to be tweaked or modified to help the swimmer achieves a proficient or dynamic stroke. I then run the swimmer through various drills while tying it back to the respective stroke we work on. Post session- I send a cheat sheet on what we worked on and any supplemental videos I think they would find helpful.
What we can work on: underwaters, any stroke, pacing, open water swimming, turns, and starts.

Client Reviews

We were looking for a coach that focuses on technique because my son started relatively late in competitive swimming. Coach Grant is very patient and knowledgeable. So far so good, we are seeing immediate improvement in his strokes.
