More About Coach Geneo

After playing college football at the University of Oklahoma, I was fortunate enough to be drafted in the third round to the New England Patriots, where I played for four years and received two Super Bowl rings. I am currently the defensive line coach at a private school.

After winning State every year in high school, I played for Bob Stoops at the University of Oklahoma for five years (2010-2015). I was then drafted 3rd round to the New England Patriots. I also played for the Colts and the Saints. I’ve played on 2 Super Bowl winning teams, and have earned 2 Super Bowl rings.

I teach “million dollar” techniques, working with my clients on what is being taught at the professional level. I help my clients understand key fundamentals of hand placement, footwork, hand combat, pass rush, 2 point, 3 point, 4 point stances, as well as advanced techniques for both defensive end and interior linemen. I’m looking to help improve the game for the youth and create a defensive line pipeline for the Dallas area.

We appreciate how personalized the training session was with our son. Coach Geneo is encouraging and explains everything so kids understand the ‘why’ and ‘how’ to what they are working on during practice in order to apply it on the field.

My son is a 15yo / DE and started working with Geneo this month.

Geneo’s track record of personal and team achievements speak to his abilities as a football player. I came into this training “expecting” that he was a top notch player and “hoping” that my son could learn and extract knowledge from him. However, not all players are coaches and I went into this experience keeping that in mind and simply setting my sons expectation to learn as much as possible during his time. They say that you aren’t truly a master of your craft until you can teach it to someone effectively. It is by this measure that I would say Geneo is a master of his craft. He has an effective training regiment that is appropriate for the allotted time period for training. He has been able to teach high level niche technical skills in a way that they are understood by my son. Coach Grissom ensures that my son both understands & that he can effectively execute the skills being taught to him before moving past them. Geneo demonstrates high moral character in the way that he carry’s himself and interacts with my son. I can tell my son absorbs some of that with each session and leaves with it. He is excited to learn and is extracting 100% of the value from his experience each week. I do not have a higher recommendation to give. Geneo is truly a great coach and the kind of person that any father would like coaching and leaving an impression on their son. We started with a 3 session package and we continue to book more sessions moving forward.

Kids are blessed to have someone at his level, with his IQ and passion to teach. I mean, just incredible. As a ex pro athlete I learned from him as well.

We have had 3 sessions so far with Coach Geneo, I wanted to wait until a few sessions in to give a review. After my son’s 1st session, he came home pumped and practicing his new moves that Coach Geneo shared with him, and that has continued after each session. As a parent, I am impressed with the workouts and training that Coach Geneo has prepared and practiced with him. But I am more impressed with the words, knowledge and experience that he is teaching my son. Coach Geneo is hard on him and calls him out on his errors, but makes sure he knows how and why it is wrong along with the proper ways to correctly do it. Coach Geneo does a great job of building him up and giving him confidence on the field.

Coach Geneo is a great coach. His techniques and approach to training is unmatched. I especially like how he coaches my young man about life parables and correlation to the game and his approach. I would recommend him to anybody. He is the best I have ever encountered.
