More About Coach Ethan

Former Boys Indoor and Outdoor Track Sprinting Coach at New Canaan High School in Connecticut. I helped 4 of our sprinters qualify for New Balance Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, NC.

I was a sprinter at Darien High School and competed for one year at NYU. I quit track to focus on soccer but I continued to use the same training methods to propel my soccer career. I continue to follow the training regimen of my friend and former teammate, Joseph Lota, who now competes for the Phillipines National Team. Joseph's workouts are created by Nabie Fofanah, the owner of Speed Doctor, who competed in the 2004 Athens Olympics in the 100m and 200m.

200m Workout
-1 Lap Warm Up
-5 Minutes Dynamic Stretching
-5 Minutes Sprint Drills
-Workout: 200m All Out, 5 minutes rest, 150m All Out, 4 Minutes Rest, 100m All Out, 3 Minutes Rest, 50m All Out
-Core Strengthening
-1 Lap Cool Down
-5 Minutes Static Stretching

It was a great session, productive and positive, and many specific corrections.

Great lesson!

Ethan has been great in getting my son ready for the season. Getting in some hard sessions will pay dividends later in the season. Thanks for the flexibility and patience with coordinating sessions.

My son needed training session and Ethan provided two different week routines for him to follow, along with video links. His quick responses to my email are great. We look forward to more trainings in the future and also in person as well.

Ethan is a great coach. I loved how he got my son warmed up and stretched properly, and then cooled down at the end. He saw some obvious flaws in his sprinting and worked to fix them. The weather was terrible and he worked through a down pour. Highly recommended and we will use him again.

My son is coming up on his third soccer session with Coach Ethan and is looking forward to it. The sessions are great - they are productive, supportive, and they inspire my son to do his best! I strongly recommend Coach Ethan!

Coach Ethan is amazing with my 12 year old autistic son. He is flexible, encouraging, intuitive and intelligent. My son can be very difficult to motivate due to sensory issues and low muscle tone, but Ethan never loses his enthusiasm or his great smile! My son looks forward to his sessions, and he has worked out a special half hour session deal for us. We will be continuing until it starts snowing again!

Amazing Track coach! Coach Ethan got me back into shape and ready for track again. He breaks it all down for you and makes sure you understand the workout and the training regiment. He is not like other coaches he is active and gets into the regiment with you!! He is also an amazing soccer coach

This was my first week with Ethan doing remote coaching. First of all, let me say that he was very kind to listen to my needs and requests. He seems to be a very nice person even though I haven't had the opportunity to meet him in person. He is fast in replying to my messages witch is really good. In regards to my training he has created a nice workout for the week. He included some videos, as I had asked, since I wanted to make sure I was doing it right. This was very helpful. I think I need to work with more session to be able to tell more about his coaching in relation to sprint training but so far I am very happy.

Great session - Coach Ethan broke down the mechanics of my child's running and worked on specific exercises that should hopefully build muscle memory to increase speed and efficiency. Looking forward to the next session.

Ethan knows the game extremely well from both a technical and tactical standpoint. He was able to point out small changes to improve my game that other coaches normally don't realize. He also knows tons of coaches/players in the NYC soccer community. Had a great session with Ethan and will definitely be training with him again.

Coach Ethan got right to the point with my son and trained him specific to the exact things that my son needed to work on.. His training was precise and my son, who is very intense, was met with an equal workout to match exactly what he needed. He and I were very satisfied.

Ethan gave me a workout that was challenging but appropriate for my fitness level and helped me correct my running form.

I really enjoyed the session with Coach Ethan. He was very knowledgeable and tailored the workout based on my goals. I highly recommend him to others.

Ethan Evans was by far my favorite coach. On and off the track he went above what was asked of him, and took an individual interest in our personal fitness. He is very knowledgeable in nutrition and isn't afraid to introduce new training techniques. Due to his enthusiasm and skills, he was able to bring many others and me to our full potential. My last year as a high school track runner he was able to get my team to nationals. If it wasn't for him, our season would have ended a lot earlier. I personally learned so much from him about how I should train, eat, and even change my sleeping habits to give my muscles the rest they need. Without his help, I wouldn't be nearly as strong and fast as I am today. I'm eternally grateful to have had Ethan as a coach and mentor.
In the Indoor and Outdoor track seasons of my Junior year of high school, I had the honor and privilege of working with Coach Evans. Not only was he incredibly kind and fun to work with, but he was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the sport. From technique to speed work, he was able to appropriately coach the beginners and experienced sprinters on the team. Under his coaching, our team advanced farther into our county and state championships than we had in many years, and I along with 3 others were able to compete at New Balance Outdoor Nationals in the 800m Sprint Medley Relay. As for my personal improvement, the following year I went on the be in the 100m finals for my county, and I am running Division I track now for Providence College. All of that is owed to the coaching of Ethan Evans.
