More About Coach Eric
I'm certified by the top two accredited credentials in the fitness industry: the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I have been mentored by the Head Physio-Therapist for the 2004, 2008, and 2012 USA Olympic Sailing Team. I've worked as the strength and conditioning coach for three silver medal winners at Beijing, and helped many New Yorkers reach their unique fitness goal(s).
However, it wasn’t always burpees and kettle swings for me, as a child I suffered from Asthma. By age 8 due to declining activity levels and bad nutrition I was overweight and eventually became OBESE! I’ve struggled with my insecurity about my weight for the better part of my life as well I have experienced ridicule from my peers; I know the disenfranchising feeling of not being able to keep up with my peers due to shortness of breath. But I also realize the incredible feeling of overcoming the obstacle of obesity; how empowered one feels as they shed undesired weight, or as one progresses from running out of breath, to doing one lap around the track and then running 5k’s with ease!

Coach Eric is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of fitness training. He conducts his 1-on-1 sessions completely focused, explains exercises very clearly and in detail, monitors me while I do the exercise, corrects my form to make sure that the right muscles are working, and that I won’t get injured. He challenges me enough to make me feel sore after the session (60min, x2/week), but never to the level where I feel overworked. I’m quite athletic but haven’t exercised at all for 3 months, and coach Eric is giving me extra motivation to keep working out, because I know he has a plan for me. He is in total control of the training program (mine incorporates weights and aerobic exercises), and I trust him completely. Last but not least, he’s always on time!
