More About Coach Eric

I'm certified by the top two accredited credentials in the fitness industry: the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I have been mentored by the Head Physio-Therapist for the 2004, 2008, and 2012 USA Olympic Sailing Team. I've worked as the strength and conditioning coach for three silver medal winners at Beijing, and helped many New Yorkers reach their unique fitness goal(s).

However, it wasn’t always burpees and kettle swings for me, as a child I suffered from Asthma. By age 8 due to declining activity levels and bad nutrition I was overweight and eventually became OBESE! I’ve struggled with my insecurity about my weight for the better part of my life as well I have experienced ridicule from my peers; I know the disenfranchising feeling of not being able to keep up with my peers due to shortness of breath. But I also realize the incredible feeling of overcoming the obstacle of obesity; how empowered one feels as they shed undesired weight, or as one progresses from running out of breath, to doing one lap around the track and then running 5k’s with ease!

Client Reviews

Eric was fantastic. He is intelligent and meticulous and really understands the way the human body knows in order to optimize workouts. Eric is particular about the goals we set and I am confident I can reach those goals with his help

Eric’s Boot Camp is the toughest challenge ever! But I love it thanks Eric!
In addition to providing physical training, Eric’s calm and gentle demeanor together with his positive attitude, were refreshing and welcome. I would highly recommend Eric to anyone requiring a personal trainer who is professional, friendly and courteous.
Eric Freeman has done an outstanding job in helping me regain my strength and vitality. As my personal trainer in the last six months, he has helped me add almost an inch in height by helping me correct my posture, reduced pain in my neck in my T3 to T7 from an old neck injury, lose seven pounds of body weight and helped with overall health and wellness. I am very appreciative of his hard work and dedication.
