More About Coach Dwayne

My coaching career began back in 2000 when I was an assistant coach for a sports counsel's summer camp league. There I coached track and field athletes ages 6-16 each year for 4 years. I obtained my USATF Level 1 for the first time in 2006 and in 2008 I went on to perform assistant coach's duties with my former track club for where I coached kids ages 11-18. I did some personal training since then and then in 2018 I began coaching AAU Track and Field and have been working with athletes ages 9 - 20 ever since. I re-did my USATF Level 1 in 2021 and obtained my USATF Level 2 Track & Field coach Sprints/Hurdles/Relays. I have coached multiple athletes who have made it to AAU nationals in sprints, hurdles, jumps and throws. In 2022, 3 of the athletes I coached walked away from AAU Nationals with 3 individual medals. First, second and fifth place. Currently the Head Track & Field coach of Holy Cross Lutheran Academy.

A typical session start off with a 10 - 15 minute dynamic warm-up.Getting the body warmed up and ready for the workout at hand. Depending on the workout that is being coaching it can last any where from 30 - 40 minutes. After the workout has been completed then a 10 minute cool down. Making sure to get any lactic acid out of the muscles and also helping to relax any tight muscles from the workout. Workouts are not always done at 100% some days are rest days with some kind of movement.

Coach Dwayne is one of the kindest and straight forward person i know. He doesn't tell you what you want to hear but what needs to be done that would really help you to reach your goals. His instructions and steps ave very easy to follow, he always gives you that extra push and truth be told if you are looking for a coach or exercise instructor he is much more because his heart is really in it. P.S. - If they had 6 stars i would definitely give him all.
