More About Coach Dominic
I am an ISSA certified personal trainer and nutritionist, and have been for the past 6 years. I have worked full-time in the health and fitness industry for the past 2 years, as well as part time for 4 years prior to that. I have also conducted private Track & Field training via the CoachUp app in 2024-2025. In strength + conditioning, have coached kids from the age of 10, all the way to adults aged 85. I am comfortable working with any type of client that ranges from basic strength, athletic training, physical therapy, or any other hardship/ailment. On top of personal training, I am also proficient and board certified in nutrition.
Growing up I played sports at all levels. I was a varsity high school track athlete and soccer athlete. I was named the captain of my high school varsity track and field team when I was a sophomore. I hold various top 10 school records in sprints such as the 100m , 200m , 4x100 relay, and 4x200 relay. I have competed in CIF championships as well as prestigious. Invitation only races such as Mount Sac relays. I ran at El Camino College, where I continue to put out my personal bests.
Every athlete/person is different and requires special care based on their own needs and physical limitations. In typical session, I will have my client start with a warm-up of either a five minute walk or five minute ride on the stationary bike. After this, I will take them to the training mat and show them/walk them through individual stretching and foam rolling drills. After this, I will conduct trainer, assisted stretching drills. If needed, I will walk my client through mobility drills. Upon completing those first warm-up steps, we will then continue with strength training exercises. The strength training exercise exercises include, but are not limited to, free weights, exercise machines, plyometrics. Upon 45 minutes of strength training, I will then have the client cool down with another five minute walk/stationary bike ride and stretch/foam roll if needed.
