More About Coach David
I have coached athletes across all levels of development, from professionals preparing for the USA Olympic Trials to high school student-athletes new to the sport. My high school coaching experience includes positions at Council Rock South and Neshaminy High School. Since 2019, I have served on the coaching staffs at Saint Francis University and Penn State University. Currently, I work as the sprints and hurdles coach at Saint Joseph's University.
During my tenure at Saint Francis, I was honored to be named NEC Coach of the Year in both 2020 and 2021. I hold multiple coaching certifications, including USTFCCCA Level 1, USATF Level 1, and USATF Level 2 (Sprints, Hurdles, and Relays), and I am CPR certified.
Division 1 Student-Athlete for La Salle University, Penn Relays Champion (Olympic Development section), Nike-sponsored Athlete, Shore Athletic Club athlete.
Training sessions are fully individualized to each athlete's goals, experience level, and competitive timeline. Programs are adjusted based on in-season or out-of-season needs, ensuring the right balance of performance and development.
All sessions (between 2 and 2.5 hr) include advanced warm-ups, with some specifically intended to work on speed development, conditioning, plyometrics, and recovery. Workouts are tailored by event, with a focus on areas such as block starts, hurdling mechanics, and repetition work to build consistency performance.
