More About Coach David

I have worked with kids from age 8 to 18 for more than 20 years. I've coached Junior Olympic Teams, as well as at the High School and Middle School level. I am currently coaching sprints and relays at Fremont Middle School in Fremont, NE.
> USATFCCCA Certified Coach
> USATF Level 1 Certified Coach

I ran the 100M, 200M, 400M Relay, and 1600M Relay. I competed as a sprinter at Stratford High School in Houston, TX; went to Northwestern (St. Paul, MN) to play football and ran track. I qualified for nationals 3 years in the 100M & 200M and was awarded All-Conference and All-American Honorable Mention Honors while in college. Currently, I am competing in the USATF Masters in 100M and 200M.

The most important thing in coaching is the relationship between the athlete and the coach. There needs to be trust, respect, and integrity. These elements provide the framework for a healthy and productive experience for both the coach and the athlete. I develop training around building core strength using body weight (especially for young athletes.) I also teach proper stretching in the hips, gluts, hamstrings, and quads. Once the kid's body is ready to handle the stress of a sprint workout, we move into sprinting.

Client Reviews

David was terrific in every respect. My 14-year old son enjoyed working with him and we will sign up for more sessions as soon as we get the chance. I highly recommend his services.

We were very pleased with Coach David. He worked with our son in hurdles. Coach used what our son was already doing and made a few tweaks to improve it. We appreciated the relationship and encouragement given by Coach David. It was a great experience!

This is my second year training with Coach Laday, he has been a great coach throughout the way! Coach always takes time to explain everything that he is teaching me. He focuses on every aspect of running. Coach Laday helped to break down my form and show me the correct technique. Laday not only helped me improve my technique, but has workouts that have challenged me every session. I totally recommend him for anyone interested in taking the next step for track & field.

I was impressed with David LaDay. He was positive and patient with my 8 year old son. I can’t wait to see how my son develops with the help and guidance from coach David.

Great knowledge, great person. Does a phenomenal job keeping sessions on track and productive but not at the expense of having fun. He is currently working with my 9 year old son on speed training and my son looks forward to every session. We are 6 sessions in and have no plans to stop any time soon.

Coach David is a awesome coach and a great person who cares about everyone he trains on and off the field

Great coach and the sessions have been jamb packed. Does a great job of explaining why each movement is important and makes sure my son understands before moving on..

I had my first session today and it was amazing! David is a great coach in many ways he is so energetic and you can really tell he enjoys what he does. He not only helps you with the hurdles but really teaches you about them and the technique to get over them.

Our son really enjoys working with Coach LaDay and has learned several techniques that will help him become a more complete athlete. Coach LaDay is knowledgable in various sports and has assisted our 8th grader with footwork for football, proper technique for hurdles, and has helped him become more aware of basic running fundamentals. Coach is friendly yet challenging and works to get to know the individual child and needs. We appreciate his competitive attitude and his ability to connect to athletes on a personal yet professional level. Our son is excited to book more sessions with LaDay saying, "I have so much more to learn!"

He is awesome, both as a person and a coach .. We are so thankful that we found him and look forward to a long relationship .

Coach David was a great coach. He took time to answer questions and concerns I had about my daughter. My daughter learned a ton from him in just one session too. You can tell that he is very passionate and knowledgeable.

We really appreciate Coach LaDay! He is very positive, encouraging and has helped our daughter improve her technique over the years. He is a one in a million coach!

Coach LaDay is an exceptional coach. He is so intentional in his coaching--working on the mental as well as the physical aspects of the sport. He is a great encourager! We love having him coach our daughter. I would highly recommend him.

We are so happy we found Coach LaDay months ago for my son’s hurdling! Not only does he teach the fundamentals, but is able to continue into more advance individual training and our son has connected with him tremendously on the psyche side of running also. All around a fantastic coach and would recommend him to anyone wanting to step up to the next level or even a few levels! Thanks coach for all that you do with youth running! Looking forward to watching him his senior year!!!

My son has received more sprint technique coaching in 2 sessions than he got in 2 years of club running. Thank you coach!

He's absolutely amazing!! He listens on what you need and pushes you to your fullest. He constantly does research to know what is in and what works the best. He does anything for you to be the best. He's literally the best coach I ever had and he's the reason why I am great on what I do.

I've only been training with Coach LaDay for about 2 weeks and I feel like I've improved a lot in exactly the areas I asked him to help me with! Definitely recommend him if you want to make solid progress!

Coach LaDay is by far the best coach I've had. He makes an effort to help each and every single one of his athletes reach their goals they wish to obtain. Nobody gets left in the dust. He is great about finding things for us to get involved in. He creates personal relationships with each athlete. It's like our goals are his gleams and he won't stop until we've reached them. He started coaching me in Middle School, and I am nearing my Senior year, and he has helped me reach many goals. He is still helping me to achieve many more. I wish for everyone to have coach like him. I wouldn't be at the level I am without his coaching.
