More About Coach Danice

I've taught clients from NFL football players to Olympian gymnasts to celebrities preparing for their next big role to moms coming back from maternity leave! Living in LA has also gifted me opportunities to guide folks in the industry through the daily stress of the rise and grind. I've had many injuries and various health challenges in life that have pushed me to learn about the human body and am also experienced with clients who have autoimmune disorders, Parkinson's Disease, cancer survivors and mental health conditions. I have an extraordinary circle of private clients and am a multi-200 hr E-RYT.

Half marathon runner and First Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. Also into spin and have done stunts on film and stage. I played basketball as a power forward way back when and also danced winning multiple awards.

My focus is on clarity and focus of mind, mobility of body and the power of how breath drives us on the mat, the court, the field, and in the ring. I work on a lot of balance and flexibility to endure life's challenge, and a positive mindset to live your best life.

Danice is absolutely GREAT !!!

I had my very first yoga experience today and I am glad to booked my first session with Danice. Not that I have any other yoga instructor to compare her to, but having an instructor for a beginner like me who wants to help me improve and achieve my goals are reasons for returning to try it again. She explains the reasons behind why I need to do certain poses and spends time discussing the alignment I needed without putting any pressure on me. Also, she has a deep empathy and understanding of my body's limitations, my injuries, strength and she works with me. With her guidance and knowledge I trust Danice that I would reach my goal and I highly recommend her specially for those individuals who are hesitant to try yoga.

So far I've taken 10+ personal sessions with Danice and I think she is an excellent yoga coach. I never had practiced yoga before my first session with her. She started with very basic poses and gradually increased the difficulty once she felt I was ready. Danice would personalize each session based on areas she felt I needed to work. For example, if she felt my hamstring was tight she would focus on poses that stretched the hamstring. My flexibility has increased materially since we began and her yoga sessions are tough total body workouts as well. She is also very hands on, adjusting my poses when my form wasn't 100% correct. She has a very kind, easy going demeanor. Also, she was very flexible in rescheduling when I needed to. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Danice is a dream coach to work with. We had to reschedule our first session due to some unforeseen emergency, and she was extremely accommodating to the last minute change. From our first phone conversation, to the first time I met her, she has truly set the bar high for what a great yoga couch should be -- passionate, knowledgeable, experienced, enthusiastic, and willing to share her past experiences and how yoga has transformed her life. Through out our session, she coached each athlete individually and helped us in our problem-areas. We asked for a beginners class, and she was able to guide us through some very basic poses, as well as challenge us with some more difficult ones. Overall, the class was perfectly paced, thought provoking, relaxing, and energizing all at the same time. At the end of our session, we all felt more limber and less- tense. Danice even took the extra step to write each athlete in the session a personal feedback note -- TALK ABOUT GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND!

Also, another perk that my entire group mentioned after the session is that Danice has a very soothing and calming voice. A nice voice isn't required for a great coach, but it definitely doesn't hurt! We're extremely pleased with the entire experience, and are definitely booking with Danice again.

Danice is truly awesome. She knows her stuff, has a special way of understanding your needs and balances building your strength and flexibility and encouraging your peace of mind. It's such a peacefully challenging class! I also like that she specifically sets time out of the way for inversions. I also used to dance and sometimes practicing those postures are a fun throwback. I would highly recommend her to anybody!

Danice is an excellent teacher with a kind soul. It is very evident how much care and thought she puts into her classes to tailor to the student's needs. I have a rare autoimmune disease that makes life a bit challenging, but Danice is a pro at gauging my energy levels and threshold for movement. Her knowledge of the body and creativity of sequence are inspiring and she moves at a perfect pace. It's easy to feel safe in her hands. I've had many yoga teachers, chiropractors, physical therapists, etc... before and can attest to the high quality of Danice's teaching. If you're looking for someone who really knows their stuff and is highly experienced, Danice is your girl.
Having practiced with Danice for almost two years, I can always count on being challenged with new, creative flows and poses. She has a rare ability to make class fun and push you to your edge without feeling exhausted during and/or after.
