More About Coach Damion
Damion is a passionate and experienced coach with over five years of expertise in football, track & field, and strength and fitness training. He has worked with student-athletes from ages 6 to 22 and has also led fitness programs for adults, helping individuals from all walks of life—including service members in the U.S. Army—achieve peak physical performance.
Damion served as a Graduate Assistant at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he coached wide receivers and developed high-performing athletes through disciplined, strategic training. His dedication to strength training and overall fitness is rooted in both personal experience and professional commitment.
Damion holds multiple nationally recognized certifications, including:
- NASM Certified Personal Trainer
- NASM Certified Nutrition Coach
- NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist (joint mobility, stability, and movement patterns)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Specialist
- IYCA (Youth) Speed, Agility, and Quickness Specialist
- Army Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) trained
Currently pursuing a degree in Kinesiology, Damion is deepening his knowledge of human movement, including anatomy, biomechanics, motor control, and sports medicine.
A graduate of the elite U.S. Army Ranger School, he brings a rare combination of physical resilience, mental toughness, and leadership to his coaching practice.
Driven by a mission to help others unlock their full potential, Damion blends science, discipline, and heart into every training session.
As a 3-year starter at West Point (Division I), Damion excelled as a Wide Receiver and Punt/Kick Return Specialist. In his senior season, he earned All-Independent honors and currently ranks 5th All-Time in single-season kick return yards in West Point’s prestigious football history.
As a high school sprinter in Florida, he anchored a 4x100m relay team that placed 2nd in the state of Florida and earned Nike Outdoor All-American honors, finishing 6th nationally in 2005. Upon attending the military academy, he transitioned his full athletic focus to football.
Every training session blends mental and physical development—building not just the body, but also the mindset required to push limits, overcome challenges, and achieve goals.
What to Expect in Training:
Initial Evaluation:
The first session includes a comprehensive evaluation to assess strengths, weaknesses, and individual goals. This allows Damion to create a personalized plan of action tailored to the athlete’s current level and future objectives.
Fundamentals First:
Proper technique and body mechanics form the foundation of every session. Damion prioritizes the basics and fundamentals, understanding that incorrect form can lead to injury and hinder long-term progress. Mastery of movement is non-negotiable.
Dynamic Warm-Up:
Each session begins with a high-intensity dynamic warm-up designed to increase heart rate, activate muscles, and mentally prepare the athlete. Warm-ups are adjusted based on the day’s training focus to maximize effectiveness.
Progressive Challenge:
As athletes grow, sessions are progressively structured to push both mental and physical boundaries. Damion's goal is to move individuals out of their comfort zones—helping them discover inner resilience, develop confidence, and finish each workout with a sense of accomplishment.
Beyond the Session:
Progress doesn’t stop when the session ends. Damion provides at-home guidance and daily habits to reinforce training and ensure continuous improvement.
