More About Coach Celine
I have taught swim lessons since age 13. I began coaching competitive swimming in 2024, first as an assistant swim coach with Ransom Everglades Aquatic Club in Miami where I was a head coach for the U11 group, Sailors.
Most recently, I was an assistant coach for the Corinthian Marlins at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Marblehead where I helped lead the Marlins to 3rd place at the North Shore Swim League Championship and place for the first time in over 10 years.
I am USA Swimming-certified.
I have been swimming since the age of 8 and played varsity water polo in high school as well as club water polo at Florida State University. In my senior year at Florida State, I was elected vice president of the Florida State women's water polo club.
For my first session with clients, I focus on assessing the swimmer's ability and developing a training plan based on their goals (e.g., improve their breaststroke, starts). I strongly believe including the athlete (regardless of how young they are) when designing the training plan is key to success.
Consecutive training sessions focus on drills selected based on the training plan. Throughout each session, I often ask athletes how a movement felt and allow them to use their intuition to help them develop a sense of their body in the water and make sessions feel more like a collaboration rather than me just telling the athlete what to do.
