More About Coach Brian

I am currently the Athletic Performance Coach at Junipero Serra High School and the Resilient Strength. I have coached Football for 9 years, the last 3 at Junipero Serra High School. I have also coached lacrosse at Serra as well as Sacred Heart Cathedral. I typically work with middle and high school athletes.

I attained my Masters in Coaching and Exercise science at Concordia University-Irvine. Additionally, I am a USA Certified Weightlifting Coach, as well as a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Level 1 Fitness Professional.

I played football for 3 seasons professionally with the Granada Lions and the Montpellier Hurricanes. I also played collegiate lacrosse for the University of Puget Sound. I was the MVP of the Andalucian league in Spain and also the Defensive MVP of my lacrosse team in college.

I focus on increasing an athlete's power production via force through the ground. Everything we do in a session is designed to get the athlete prepared to move efficiently and maximize her or his ability to generate power through the ground. This looks like a dynamic warm up and focus on mobility, building to the core lifts of the day (squat, clean, push press, etc) followed by stability and strengthening work to build an invincibly strong athlete. I also focus on proper mechanics in all movement and specifically acceleration and change of direction mechanics.
