More About Coach Brian
I am a former College Division I and II swimming coach. I have been the Head Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Coach for Western Illinois University, The University of Toledo and Fresno Pacific University. I was also the Head Assistant Coach for men and women at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. In addition I have coached High School Boys and Girls for 20 years while working with Clovis Swim Club as a Senior Coach since 2007. I am an ASCA Level 5 certified coach.
I am a former collegiate swimmer representing Ball State University and a former (occasional) Masters swimmer. My career in the pool began my sophomore year of high school at 15 years of age. Great coaching and opportunity allowed for me to improve to a level of being a competitive Division I swimmer.
I am open to teach everything including beginning swim lessons, stroke mechanics to training. I do believe in (perfect practice makes perfect) and subscribe to a minimum amount of drills to specifically build the stroke. I think the best way to correct stroke flaws is through consistent correction with video support. The pace of development depends totally on the grasp of what the athlete can master. I build slowly with a lot of repetition.
