More About Coach Brett
I have 20 years of Division 1, the last 13 at Rider University as the Associate Head Coach. My teams have won 16 championships including 12 straight team titles in the MAAC. I have coached athletes to over 100 new Rider school records.
I typically work with ages 10 and up and I have extensive youth experience as well as high school, college and masters athletes.
I am USATF Level 1 and 2 certified with a specialty in sprints, hurdles, middle and long distances. I do have good technical knowledge of the long jump and high jump as well.
I also have a USTFCCCA specialist certification for the sprints and hurdles.
I competed at the NCAA Division 1 level in track and field at Lafayette College. I earned 4 varsity letters and was a Patriot League scorer. Upon my graduation I was part of a relay with a top 5 mark on program history.
I pride myself on coaching the athlete and not to a system so every client will have unique training customized to their needs.
A normal session would include an active mobility warm up (running, glute activation, sprint drills), followed by wicket drills or other acceleration activities (10-70m sprints from different starting positions, fly runs, multi jumps, etc)
Other activities might include interval training depending on the athletes need (400m and up athletes) or technical hurdle or jump work for athletes in those event areas.
