More About Coach Alyssa
During my time as a Division I track athlete at UCLA, I gained hands-on coaching experience working with sprinters at multiple levels. I interned as a coach and mentor during the summer with Trust the Process Track Club in Columbia, South Carolina, where I assisted in training youth and high school athletes, focusing on sprint mechanics, speed development, and race execution. At UCLA, I was immersed daily in an elite training environment, learning how to communicate technical feedback, model proper drills, and support athletes both physically and mentally. I typically work with youth through collegiate-level sprinters and have completed NCAA-mandated SafeSport, concussion awareness, and CPR/First Aid training.
I am an 7x NCAA D1 All-American, Big 10 medalist and Pac-12 Medalist for UCLA. I am a recent 2025 graduate. I competed as a specializing in the 400 meters, one of the most technical and demanding sprint events. I also was on record shattering 4x1 and 4x4 teams. Training at the D1 level exposed me to elite coaching, advanced strength and conditioning programs, and high-performance race modeling. I trained and competed against top collegiate athletes while balancing academics and athletics, gaining a deep understanding of speed endurance, race strategy, and injury prevention. My experience at UCLA shaped my disciplined, detail-oriented approach to both training and competition.
A typical session begins with a dynamic warm-up and mobility work focused on sprint-specific movement patterns and injury prevention. I emphasize proper sprint mechanics through drills such as A-skips, wicket drills, and acceleration work before transitioning into speed or speed-endurance training tailored to the athlete’s level. Sessions include rest education, race modeling, and technical feedback throughout. I finish with strength-based movements or core work and a structured cooldown, ensuring athletes leave feeling confident, prepared, and educated on why we train each component.
