More About Coach Aaron

Hey, my name is Aaron and I am a 33-year old Athlete, Musician, Coach, Teacher, Artist and Yogi. I have been working professionally with kids (ages 5-18) since I graduated College in 2015. My Coaching experience began at my Alma Mater (St. Louis Park High School), as I lead the Freshmen team while being an Assistant Varsity Coach from 2015-2017. During this time, I was a private coach for 10+ student athletes, helping drive their games forward with rigorous skill development & conceptual learning. In addition, I was the head basketball coach for Prodeo Academy (K-6) in 2018, a newly developed Charter School I worked at during the day-time.

In 2019, I moved across the world to India to study and receive certification to become a Yoga Instructor. While this is different than 'sport', the skills necessary to coach translated directly to my teaching. I have been teaching and coaching Yoga students since 2019, and I continue to do so regularly, today.

In 2020, I moved to Brooklyn, New York during the pandemic, and continued my coaching and teaching there too. I ran a gym for Middle & High School Students every Saturday, highlighting the importance of skill development and training while giving them a platform to safely compete against other kids in the area with continuous 5-5 games (tournament-style). I also coached kids (K-7) in Yoga in the Public School System as well.

All in all, I love to teach, I love to coach, and I love to be a student. Each opportunity to lead is also an opportunity for me to connect, learn, and follow, and I cherish these moments in my life whole-heartedly.

Client Reviews

From the moment we met Coach Aaron, I knew I had made the right choice for my son’s basketball training. His professionalism, combined with a warm and friendly approach made my 9-year-old son feel immediately at ease.

Coach Aaron’s training sessions are a perfect blend of fun and discipline. He has a unique way of engaging with young athletes, making each session enjoyable while instilling fundamental basketball skills.

Coach Z was amazing! Learned so much off of one lesson! Would definitely recommend!

I thought Aaron was great. I wish I could have had more lessons with him.

My daughter had her first training with Coach Aaron : he quickly assessed her ability and implemented training that was fast pace, effective, and fun . She will definitely train with Coach Aaron again!

Coach Aaron is great with my son - has gotten him working very hard! He motivates him to practice at home too which is key. He is easy to work with and schedule and has been very flexible. Highly recommend!

1 session in - Aaron is great! He is able to demonstrate the skills, articulate what needs to happen and communicate why it is necessary. My kid was exhausted! Signing up for more sessions now.

Aaron was awesome. We began with fundamentals first which was helpful to start tackling. He has a good pace and is thorough in terms of explanation and next steps. Super strategic. Thanks, Aaron!!

Coach Aaron opened my eyes to what I need to work to improve my overall game. The things Coach Aaron taught me I have implemented into my game skills and noticed a significant difference. Coach Aaron is a great coach and I intend to go to more sessions with him.

After the very first lesson for our daughter (11 years old) with Coach Aaron, I'm very confident he's the perfect match. I watched the entire lesson and Coach Aaron was balanced in his approach to cover ball handling, shooting, body fakes/position, etc... He also went back and forth between quick paced and slower technical drills. His demeanor is calm but his drills are all business. My daughter came off the court red faced, sweating and grinning from ear to ear. That's rare for kids working to improve their game. Thank you Coach Aaron.

We have had one session so far with Aaron he is very personable, great attitude and is very encouraging and confidence building. Looking forward to my son's next session.

My son meet with Aaron for the first session. He is a really focused coach. They worked on drills to improve his skills. I think this was a great choice for my sons athletic development and to build confidence. Looking forward to the next session.

It is like my whole physique changed; Like my posture, the way I am breathing is in a different pattern. I feel as if my body is growing, and I strongly believe it is because of the yoga and meditation combo; I am more relaxed
That was great, thank you. I started tearing up at one point when you were getting into the music metaphors (during meditation). "Your tune is your tune".
Thank you. A lot of cool stuff in there. Focusing on one point (during meditation) and then visualizing the circle (within the breathing pattern), this was super helpful.
