More About Coach Billy

I have hands-on experience in strength and conditioning through internships with UConn Men’s Basketball (NCAA Division I National Champions), TT-Performance—one of the top S&C facilities in Beijing, China—and currently with Northeastern University Sports Performance while studying in Grad school as an exercise science concentration major. I’m fluent in English and have primarily worked with collegiate athletes, along with some youth athletes, Though I'm open to have any clients with different backgrounds and help them to move better and without pain. I also hold CSCS and USAW Level 1 certifications.

I played for the JV basketball team in my last year of High school when I first moved to the US. During college, I was the UConn women's basketball team's practice player for two years. I didn't have so many achievements in my own athletic career but I found it more interesting and more passionate about the Strength and Conditioning field.

For the baseline session, we will discuss the need analysis and do a series of movement assessments. We will figure out afterward what's the short/long-term goal of the athlete, what sports are they playing / interested in, whether they are moving with any pain, if there any current medical conditions that we shall be aware of, what lifting environment the athlete would like (physically and psychologically) and lastly how the athlete wants a perfect session to be like. Then with the information I have, I will be able to provide a specific workout routine for the athlete. The entire length will be finished within an hour (Including warmups, power, strength/hypertrophy, mobility, energy system (endurance), cool downs). The ratio of these 6 componuts will adjust according to the athletes' current conditioning. We will also potentially use some technologies to monitor the athletes stress level (Heart rate, VBT...etc) so that we can make sure the athlete is recovering well and staying on track as we planed to.
