More About Coach Yuri
As a former professional swimmer, I had the opportunity to coach all levels of training.
Back in Israel, I was coaching children from 5-12 year olds and 12-18+ age groups. Additionally, I coached the masters group as part of greater Jerusalem swim club. In the Israeli Defense Forces, was coaching and training special forces units.
Here in the States, I had the opportunity to coach under Swim Hawaii Club as well as a prestigious private school called Iolani. Also was part of the Masters program at University of Hawaii, Manoa.

Training all my life, I understand the technique is the most important thing in the sport of swimming whether you are a beginner or competitive swimmer. My coaching style focuses on proper position of the body in the water and having the ability to understand the feeling of water. Working with the right drills to be more effective in the water can greatly reduce extra energy. With fun sense of humor and activites, I like the whole experience to be meaningful and fun.
