More About Coach Ximena
I am originally from Argentina, moved to United States in 2001 due to my job. After many years of a very stressful lifestyle, I started practicing yoga, and studying about nutrition and how you can heal yourself through food. In 2010, I became a certified Health Counselor.
I studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching method. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
My yoga practice and the need to increase awareness to my eating habits, lead me to do a Yoga Teachers training. I graduated in 2010 from Sankalpah Yoga in New York City and I have been teaching since then in groups, privately and in corporations.
My classes are based on Vinyasa Yoga tradition that combines creative sequencing, strong alignment points and, careful and thoughtful, student adjustments. It is my honor to teach and guide my students in their discovery of what their bodies can provide and do for them.

I have been in sports my whole life. I practiced kung-fu, squash, swimming, volleyball, handball, lift weighting, spinning, belly dancing, cycling, running, tango, which gives me a good understanding of how the body works and reacts to the different practices. Since I started practicing yoga, I felt in love and found that I do not need to do anything else to keep my body fit and I have never been as fit as I am now. However, I do understand we are all different and we therefore need different things so I will be happy to help you find what yoga can do for you.
The yoga class will be prepared based on a final "goal" pose. From warm up to Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) to Vinyasa Sequencing and to closing sequencing. We will be working with that pose in mind, and we may or may not get to the pose, that is not what matters, we will preparing the body to get there eventually. Class will include some Pranayama (breathing) techniques to calm down the nervous system and increase awareness.
The class difficulty level will depend on the student and I can always adjust the class to the student´s need.
